This is precisely why we just bought outside the city. All the benefits of having Nashville close, without all of the pitfalls.

You have to realize Briley was worse than Cooper and he got ousted. Coop is def. one termer, though.
A conservative can win if they ditch the social issues. The last two prominent GOP candidates for mayor were stalking horses, imo. Carol Swain's #1 talking point was "Muh Muslims."

That's fine until they put in congestion pricing, etc. like NYC has.

How would this affect me if i am in another county? not being snarky. i am genuinely curious.

There's literature on congestion pricing all over the 'net. You can start with the City Journal.
I would recommend Nashville legalizing weed and tax it, they could pull it off.
Also,
at thinking your county won't be the same. Give it time and then your kids will talk about moving to Murray County.

My work would pay for any tolls. But, i see how this would majorly affect drivers coming in from Rutherford and other larger counties that work in Greater Nashville.
These slimy bastards will always find a way. I still love where we bought.

Whatever dude. Go argue with someone else. Still having my first cup of coffee.

I hear ya, I know at least two true and blue Dems that live in Rutherford County....smh
Don't be bitter, it's a fact Americans don't deal with problems, they just move away from them. That works until you run out of places to run to.

Trump should come out and flat out say "if you're mayor or governor played a roll in your states problems by limiting and killing business within your city and state, you get no help".

You don't 1 thing know my situation, but you act like you do. That is a pompous way of having a discussion.
Thanks for letting me know about the congestion tax. Past that i am good.

And the people tasked with dealing with the problems think that no one will leave. And then you have Detroit. Or St. Louis.

quote:They are all in. They believe if they win in November they will gain the Presidency, the Senate and retain the House. They can then enact a huge stimulus to recover areas that have been decimated by their actions. This is political warfare of the highest order.
Exactly. A mayor doesn’t just intentionally devastate their city’s economy for no reason. There is a reason behind it and that reason is politics. This is just one more example of the insidious nature of the Democrat Party. They are seeking absolute power and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

i don't understand what's in it for him?
why lie about the numbers?

Now let's see Mayor LaToya's actual numbers

Being a Democrat requires a person to be a liar.

Graduated from MTSU in 03, married a girl from Nashville area, and work there often, so my trips to Nashville have been often.
These last few years, the decline of the city have been obvious. Trash, homeless, and overall degradation are showing when in the recent past it wasn't.
