Some current and former officials said they expect Kelly to leave by July, and that Trump and Kelly seem to have tired of each other.
it was reported already he was always leaving in July. and BFD Obama had a high turnover especially CoS.

I dunno but stories like this are quite effective.

At what? It creates "drama" among the press, but normal people just don't care. This is addressing WH gossip, while the President is negotiating peace with the Koreans. It's tabloid non-sense, even if true, by comparison.

This is in line with stories for the last several weeks.

quote:

Kelly, once empowered to bring order to a turbulent West Wing, has receded from view, his clout diminished, his word less trusted by staff and his guidance less tolerated by an increasingly go-it-alone president. Emboldened in his job, Mr. Trump has rebelled against Kelly's restrictions and mused about doing away with the chief of staff post entirely. It's all leading White House staffers and Trump allies to believe that Kelly is working on borrowed time.

In recent weeks, Mr. Trump has governed at breakneck pace, ousting aides and issuing surprise policy announcements on Twitter, recreating the helter-skelter feel of his first months in office. Kelly's allies maintain that his retreat is strategic. They suggest that the belief that Kelly was Mr. Trump's savior was an overstated idea all along and that the chief of staff is now content to loosen the reins and allow an increasingly comfortable president to govern from his gut.

But those close to the president say that Mr. Trump has increasingly expressed fatigue at Kelly's attempts to shackle him and that while Mr. Trump is not ready to fire Kelly, he has begun gradually freezing out his top aide.

Mr. Trump recently told one confidant that he was "tired of being told no" by Kelly and has instead chosen to simply not tell Kelly things at all, according to a person who was not authorized to publicly discuss private conversations and spoke on condition of anonymity.

bottom line Kelly fricked up with Hope Hicks BF. he was intended on leaving in July. I hope the new CoS is someone that pisses of the MSM but good.

I agree that normal people don't care. However, trump does care. And he watches a lot of news. There have been repeated reports of trump marginalizing kelly. Will this be the end of kelly?

Normal people don't care about this either fwiw.

Rumor is that if Trump fires Kelly he's not hiring a new COS. He's going "Top Floor" (Trump Tower management style - everyone reports to him).

Naw. I think if the peninsula is denuclearized, it is a good thing

I am not most americans though. Neither are you. I doubt most Americans could find N. korea on a map, name either leader or is aware of the accord.

If people cared about FP, then Kerry would have won in 2004. Obama might have lost in 2012.

Isn’t it amazing...another fake news article to sow disharmony both in and out of the White House, right after a positive news drop...what convenient timing!

How many people will it take, who Trump appointed, to call him an idiot or a fricking moron, before some of you people realize that he is in fact an idiot and a fricking moron?

Is it really hard to believe this happens?

video reported that Kelly has called Trump an idiot several times.

Yet, we have not record of such a comment.

Q said, the plan was to make the media believe there is chaos in the White House. Well....

In line with reporting from the Post:

quote:

But inside and outside the White House, Kelly’s credibility has suffered from a string of misstatements, most recently over his management of domestic abuse allegations against former staff secretary Rob Porter and of Trump’s decision to oust Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster as national security adviser. And for all the structure he has brought to the bureaucracy, colleagues still view Kelly as tone deaf in dealing with politics.
