1.4% in Q4 down 2% from expectations. Oof

I love the panic and then elation at mere quarter by quarter numbers some people have.

I remember what happened to people that yanked their money out of the market when the tariff panic hit.

You're equating 43 days with an entire years worth of value.

Idiot indeed.

Those 43 days all were in the quarter that is being reported on. There are 90 days in a quarter and 43 of them the government was shut down. There is your 2% reduction on expectation plus more.

Are you implying that 2% of the GDP of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, is coming from the GOVERNMENT?

From Goggle AI.....

quote:

Government consumption and investment typically account for approximately 18% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product (GDP). While this figure represents direct government purchases of goods and services in GDP calculations, total federal expenditures (including transfer payments) can represent a significantly higher share, sometimes exceeding 30% during high-spending periods

Somehow this will be spun as a positive on here. Like the 1,000,000 job loss revision that took place

After Jotato left office the job revisions totaled -2,000,000....hmmmm.

43 days = 11.8% of the year

7/30.5 = 22.9% or the budget

11.8% of 22.9% = 2.7%

You're assuming every day is weighed equally. Which is never the case.

Edit: To be fair GumboPot's post made more sense then your flailing. Im currently just pointing out your mathematical flaws to just frick with you and be antagonistic, because frick you too.

As I have said, the economy really isn’t doing great, and I tire of partisan cheerleaders trying to gaslight us by saying everything is great.

That’s not at all what was said. First this ruling only applies to 20% of the tariffs. The other 80% remain in place. Second, they left the door open to Trump reimposing them under various other sections…most likely 302. I imagine they will be back in place by the end of the week at the latest.
