I think it's peaked now and already headed the opposite direction. The 20-40 year old crowd was raised by people who didn't grow up with internet and generally had poor guidance and built bad habits around it. Our parents just didn't know any better - how would they?
The kids coming up now are split in 2 camps, kids still being raised the old way (no guidance or supervision) and educated/supervised about internet and forums and such. The latter group seems to be growing in population, at least from what I see in my social circles. The shooter was clearly from the former group. Full blown immersion in the cesspool of internet.

Discord is just a series of servers…each server has different topics and leaders. There are lsu discord servers where they are all right wing old guys talking stocks lol
