No. because his supporters like you believe hes always the fiscal hawk. But hes not. I gave you 2 specific examples where his bluff was called, and he caved
1) Voted for a Republican bill for a debt ceiling increase
2) Then was the tie-breaking vote to move Bidens debt buster forward. If there was ever a time to prove your hawkish nature, that was the time
Then suddenly he gets amnesia (because he never thought in his wildest dream that Trump would be prez again), forgets he voted twice to raise the ceiling, and nowclaims its always been his guiding principle. And is the now sole Republican against, when every vote is essential
F...R...A...U...D
Brought on by a severe case of TDS. Even more severe than youre own case. Which is why you still support Massie, even tho hes a proven fraud at this point
He was not the tie breaking vote for Bidens bill, you're talking about a rules committee vote. In the actual vote, 149 republicans and about 160 democrats voted for the bill.
And once again, the bill he voted for contained a 1% spending cut if certain conditions weren't made, and the BBB only contains an extreme amount of increased spending.
Furthermore, you are only upset with him because he didn't vote for the BBB, not because of the other bill.
I do have TDS, Trump Disappointment Syndrome.
0 Epstein arrests.
0 Corruption actually ended.
0 Departments slashed.
0 Wars ended.
Wants to increase spying on American citizens rather than getting rid of things like the Patriot Act.
Do you need more?
Even if I didn't support Massie, I would never support that bullshite bill, or the things in it. If you do, then you're a liberal piece of shite.

If Massie started voting neocon tomorrow, I wouldn't support him. Just like I stopped supporting Trump when he did it.
Unlike liberals, I'm loyal to principles and morals, not men.

Oh stop. A sizable portion of this board thought Pence could stonewall Biden and give more time for a recount.
You can't believe that AND believe Pence wasn't under a lot of pressure not to sign off.

Just like Obama could do no wrong with his cult members, Trump can do no wrong with his.
That's why the NPC meme exists.
Maybe cults are good. A good way to show your allegiance to your favorite politician.
Yep, I'm going with cults are a good thing. Everyone should join one. Good for community. Be a part of something!

Just say you dont understand how Congress works
quote:
Massie’s vote in the Rules Committee was pivotal, as two other conservative Republicans on the committee, Chip Roy and Ralph Norman, opposed the measure. His support allowed the bill to proceed despite his historical opposition to debt ceiling increases, marking a shift from his previous record.
And the reason his vote was pivotal?
quote:
If a resolution providing for consideration of a bill is passed, then such bill must be considered by the House at such a time and under such limitations as the resolution has set. In practice, a bill can get to a floor vote only if a resolution providing for its consideration is passed (unless the Speaker grants a vote on suspension of the rules, which requires two-thirds of votes cast in order to pass).
Had Massie voted No, the Speaker would have had to gets a 2/3rds majority to move it to the floor. That wasnt happening. Massie alone is responsible for Biden massive budget bill
Put that in your pipe and smoke it

You don't. If you think a no vote in the committee was going to stop anything, you're dumb. They'd at best make a few changes and keep voting on the same shite until it made it out.
Why are you pretending congress works any other way? Why do you need to ignore than 160ish democrats and 150ish republicans voted for it? Why is it suddenly on this 1 person to prevent the entire thing, when rules committee isn't even the place for such debates, the floor is.
quote:
And the reason his vote was pivotal?
It wasn't. People such as yourself just want to distort things to pretend like it was because you are pissed off he won't vote for huge amounts of spending now.
You didn't give a shite about his vote until now. Because he went against your cult leader Trump, you're just looking for anything you can find to attack him over. You're a piece of shite.

False. It would just go back to committee and they'd do more of their dealings and they'd push it back out. Same as always.
But sure guy, this was the one time in history things were 1 person was able to stop a huge spending bill. You're a fricking idiot and a dishonest piece of shite.

Exactly what is it about extreme amounts of government spending that you enjoy so much?
Are you part of the MIC that benefits from stealing money from your fellow citizens for the purpose of spreading death and destruction around the world?
What do you get from all the government spending?

Any changes they make, forces the bill back to the rules comm. Thats why when a bill fails in the rules comm., it dies
In 2024, the Republicans were in charge of Congress. Once the bill died in comm., then the DIMS would either shut down the govt, or agree to changes
Thats what Gingrich did to Clinton. Forced cuts down his throat, even tho he didnt want them

Yes, it was a rules committee vote, they'll just change it and redo it. Again, if you think a single person is able to stop a spending bill like that, you've lost your mind. They'll just bribe someone else to get a vote or whatever.
It happens all the time. The train never stops. That particular bill had a 1% forced spending cut if it passed. I know that's why he voted for it because I was pretty critical of his vote and many people asked why he did it. I would have personally voted against, as I would vote on 99% of all bills, but that was his reason either way.

Again, it went to the house and it was damn near an even vote between republicans and democrats. About 20 more democrats voted for it.

Mike Johnson has allowed over 180 democrat bills on the floor since he was named speaker. He often blocks many republican bills, including bills like Massies bill to make all bills single issue bills to prevent omnibus bills in the first place.
Yet somehow Massie is the problem. He holds all the power, not the speaker Trump seems to love.
PS: We got cuts during Clinton because people like me supported Perot making the budget and spending a big deal instead of following the republican candidate no matter what. Neocons are losers, I will never support them, including neocon Don.
