I can still remember exactly where I was when Trump came out and said “Obama tapped my wires”.

2 years from now you guys will still be wishcasting on this subject.

Being the head of the various intelligence agencies, DOJ/FBI, and being the head of national security aren't core executive functions?
I swear these people debase themselves either for clicks or attention. It's insane

but was he not briefed in 2016 that the whole Russian interference narrative was a scheme cooked up by Hillary?
Russian interference/hacking is real
Trump's Russian collusion is the speculative/false conclusion at issue.

Writing fiction novels is part of the core executive function

Newsmax reports that Digenova says Obama does not have immunity for the Russia Gate fraud and collusion since it wasn’t a part of presidents function…..
But, but, but I was told in no uncertain terms by SFP that sabotaging the future presidency and weakening the incoming president with known lies was a part of the president's function as the head of the IC. Newsmax and Digenova must not have consulted with the authority on the subject.
Good news is SFP will declare it a hanging offense when a republican does it to a marxist democrat.

Lol. That's what you call red meat.

You're discussing the underlying behaviors, not the functions.
Y'all keep conflating the two. That's why people have turned it into "official acts"
Here is the relevant quote from the case:
quote:
Congress cannot act on, and courts cannot examine, the President’s actions on subjects within his “conclusive and preclusive” constitutional authority. It follows that an Act of Congress—either a specific one targeted at the President or a generally applicable one—may not criminalize the President’s actions within his exclusive constitutional power. Neither may the courts adjudicate a criminal prosecution that examines such Presidential actions. We thus conclude that the President is absolutely immune from criminal prosecution for conduct within his exclusive sphere of constitutional authority.
Subjects within the “conclusive and preclusive” constitutional authority are the functions we're talking about. The underlying behaviors within those subjects/functions are irrelevant. You can't even get to that step due to the shield of immunity within the subject/function.
So, the question is, are the functions I listed conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority" of the President? And the answer is clearly yes.

And when they changed the assessment based on information that they knew was bogus . . . that was on the up and up?

If trying to cover up a burglary of the opposing party you didn’t order is a crime, I gotta believe illegally spying on the opposing party that you ordered may qualify as one as well!

When was Nixon prosecuted?

The recently declassified material reveals former President Barack Obama sought to continue the Russia-collusion hoax Hillary Clinton had launched during the presidential campaign by directing select members of his intelligence community to craft the deceptive Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) on Russia’s efforts to influence the 2016 election. However, a close reading of these documents reveals Obama holds even more culpability than previously discussed.
quote:
“Investigators as well as the ICA authors were denied access to a trove of information on grounds of executive or congressional privilege,” the HPSCI report explained. According to the report, one FBI analyst argued the intel should be shared with analysts, but “that the Obama Administration denied ICA drafters access to this intelligence on grounds of Executive or Congressional privilege.”

SFP and anyone saying he can't be charged are FOS/ Richard Nixon was pardoned by Gerald Ford for what reason if he was immune from prosecution?
A President in the performance of his duties, ie ordering military action or any other function of his office is immune.. But he can't commit crimes. He can't for instance just shoot someone in the head and say I m immune.

Hillary is wide open, dumb arse Biden didn't even auto pen her a pardon.
Posted on 7/29/25 at 8:29 am to SlowFlowPro
Sure, but we aren't really talking about that, are we? We are talking about ordering his political lackeys to direct the intelligence community to lie about a political rival in order to, at minimum, derail the government and possibly have a duly elected leader unlawfully deposed. I guess they though Susan Rice firing off an email on her last day in office would be enough to insulate them from that. LOL
But that being said, all this is just red meat. Forget about Obama. It ain't happening.

This is just a silly nonsensical response. You know good and well why Nixon wasn't prosecuted. Just silliness.
Posted on 7/29/25 at 8:35 am to Vacherie Saint
He won't be tried, but I would settle for him living out his days in disgrace. I'd also settle for a complete pantsing of everyone in the media who gleefully peddled these lies and who never showed any curiosity about the obvious flaws in the narrative.

Not a lawyer, but seems silly to get protection from purposeful political illegal acts just because you're in office.
Immunity from collateral damage of authorizing military strikes? Sure.
Telling the FBI/CIA what story you want them to tell even though it's against the actual intelligence? Nah.
