We are 12 short. They aren’t blowing up the filibuster. You guys are fricking delusional if you think this will ever pass.

How exactly are they going to pass it with only 50 votes? It's not a budget item eligible for reconciliation

Use this as a tool for immigration reform and refuse to do anything regarding that if Dems don't join in

This is baffling. Grassley is generally pretty solid.

There are many times where the Rs vote for colture and end the filibuster and subsequently vote no on the measure. But I doubt any Dems will extend the favor to the GOP to end the filibuster.

The funny thing about all of this is that the fact that all but one Democrat voted against it in the house and it will almost certainly face a filibuster in the Senate is damn near proof positive the elections themselves are rigged and exactly why we need this to pass.
The overwhelming majority of Americans support this. Democrats too. It should be political suicide for anyone who votes against it.
These Democrats are essentially saying "we are going to block this shite and then just rig our elections to maintain our seats. frick the constituents."

Make them actually filibuster (i.e. talk until they drop)
This absentee "filubuster" is not what the filibuster was supposed to do. It was a forum for you to plead your case against it and sway votes.

End the filibuster if necessary.

Only 50 votes are needed change Senate rules.
ETA: Republicans would not be pushing this hard this fast if they did not have a plan to get around the filibuster. Democrats would not be freaking out this much about it if they didn't think the Republicans had a legit plan to get around the filibuster.

Grassley signed on last night. He was like number 41 or something to come out in favor of it.

Fetterman said he was for it.
Who is holding out?

Schumer will let him vote for it because he knows it won’t pass. They need 60 votes to pass and subtracting Collins and Murkowski means you need 9 Democrats. If Fetterman votes yes, 8 more are needed. That won’t happen.

51 is great but it won't stop a filibusterer, unfortunately.
