Jay was still barely known outside NYC in 1996 when Reasonable Doubt came out. I doubt he was famous enough to get the call to play with billionaires yet.

Amazing how prosperous an ugly and half-talented man can be in America.

1996 was closer to Jay-Z prime than people probably think
His first album was released in June of 1996.

He was an early bloomer. It was downhill after that.

By 1996, Jay-Z had put out an album that blew up. He had also co-founded his own record label in 1995.
He was not a "nobody" by 1996.

I mean, his debut album Reasonable Doubt dropped on June 25, 1996, and charted at number 23 on the billboard 200, but sure, he was nobody in 1996, like music is made overnight and he wasn’t recording in 1994, 1995, etc. Dude is obviously a pdf, like you really think his sho(i)tty music just became “popular” overnight?

If anything, this just makes all the tips seem false.

she woke up in Epstein’s Florida mansion. she was in the presence of Harvey Weinstein and Jay-Z.
... you are not seeing this for what it really is ...
this was the beginning of "control" ...
it was the beginning of a career
the beginning of a new music genre
the beginning of a new avenue for trafficking drug and sex --- that is what Epstein was all
about
They needed new avenues for such ventures and that is why Weinstein was there ...
the beginning

I think Jay Z should be put in the Fed pen...
I'm talking about boosting Bobby Blue Bland's classic 'Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City' and puking all over it.
At least Coverdale and Whitesnake did it a lil justice. If you can't Johnny Cash a NIN 'Hurt'...or Social Distortion a 'Ball and Chain'..don't touch it.

He wasn't well known until Life and Times Vol 2.
Not big enough at that time. He had a tiny record label with Dame Dash but they didn't really blow up until almost 1998.

Anyone know if that was the same time frame when the camera caught her smacking him around in the elevator for stepping out?
That was Bouncy's sister Solange that was smacking the camel.

Not even Jay's song, cribbed from an Ice T joint.
