Afghanistan, and it failed spectacularly

How do you get the addict or non-addict to stop having a demand for drugs?
When they realize a prison sentence means no drugs, they'll slow it down
You can't ever end or.

This is great but why aren't we taking down the known multiple cartels just across our southern border?

I can't make you be a better person. I can't make you care about your family, your pets or taking care of your yard. I can stop you from coming into MY yard.

Someone should check out Daniel Naboa of Ecuador. Eastern Pacific has been largely untouched. Naboa has some very good friends in high places in Washington DC.

But after 60 years of our global war on drugs you should know by now this is the wrong approach
This is obviously something different than what has been done for the last 60 years. Otherwise, why would anyone be upset?

Hardcore junkies are not exactly a profit center for the dealer. The weekender and casual user creates the profit margin

Not really. We've waged war on cocaine fields for decades too, no progress.
We imprisoned the biggest kingpin, no progress.
What y'all want is the appearance of doing something. If you want something accomplished, youre on the wrong path.

quote:You may be right. The CIA and deep state has been making money off the drug trade since the 70's. Maybe this is about cutting another source of funding for dems and deep state. Could be that is why the lefties are so outraged... Even if it isn't, more drugs on the ocean floor means less in our country.
Because this ain't about drugs

A few minutes of research is all you would need...to be "not wrong."
CIA spent a decade trying to end the trade, and the trade is larger than ever.
In fact, the higher prices brought in new suppliers. Not only did we fail to end it, we increased it.

I dont have a lot of evidence for this, but if the black market ended today, a lot of shop owners and "professional services" who launder money would cause a crisis in this country when they fold.
The drug trade is larger than many industries.

according to the DEA, Mexican drug trafficking organizations are additionally the largest international suppliers of all cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine that crosses the U.S. border.2
And we're fighting the wrong people.

Potassium and a little kick start of the heart. I've been overlooking this fruit.
