He'll keep his job, noting that this mentality isn't an issue within PBS.

Actually I’ve got good news on that front: He’s been fired

Project Veritas caught him on tape. I would like to hear some of the leftists on this board condemn this type of talk.

I'm not a leftist by any sane standard. But I am to the left of this board.

And I will condemn it. Unconditionally.

His attitude is one reason we can't achieve any common ground. It drives me crazy. You will never persuade anyone by calling them stupid. And if you think everyone is stupid but you, well, then maybe you are the one with the problem. Elitism is an enormous problem in today's political discourse.

Condemning enough for you?

One, you made that statement nearly 2 hours ago. You haven't made it again, so you support it.

Two, that's not your real name and will not stand up in a court of law, therefore, you still support it.

I'll wait and withdraw my criticism until I see where he gets rehired.

Wait. You came here as a R. Turned on R and claimed to be I. Now you are answering questions posed to Ds.

What a ride.

Personal attacks will only harden the beliefs of the person you are attacking.

My favorite part about that video is the fact that he's so mild mannered looking. He's not dressed in Black Bloc, he's not wild eyed screaming at a cop, he doesn't have blue hair and a Hammer& sickle tattoo (visible), etc.

He's also not the right wing version of the crazy, violent fanatic either.

He looks like a High School Principal, or your accountant, or an older and not fanatical college professor. He looks NORMAL...on the outside.

And yet, his views are abhorrent and what he's advocating, coldly, is terrifying. What it ought to do is worry anyone even close to the middle and right, because it's clear that far more people on the left apparently feel this way then the obvious crazies.

Oh also...in years past, this would be front page news and on every network news program...that the head of legal for PBS said these tings on camera. My guess is, no legacy news outlet even mentions it, and the guy keeps his job.

ETA: Seemed he's been fired. Unusual, but well done I guess.

Gitmostoopid disagrees with this. He says it is all all figment of imagination...like ANTIFA.

Tex says that this is an incredibly small portion of the left. I disagree fully. This guy IS the left.

Mickey, I’ve read you’re post on this board and you seem like a genuinely good guy. We don’t have much in common politically, definitely not on the economic side I assume. Socially, we’d probably agree more than you think, although I’m a free speech absolutist, anyway, I digress...

What I quoted above is of course to any rational person common sense, but there will come a time where your own tribe will use those very words you typed to hang you. They want you to agree that the only path forward is the total annihilation of your/their political enemy. You will soon find yourself a dissident, a deplorable, wondering what happened.

My conversation with GITMO this morning:

quote:

With all due respect you are suffering from an unfounded fear. Why would you guess there are lists of Trump supporters??? Who cares if you support Trump???? No one.

My response: You are either incredibly stupid or intentionally dishonest in your “assessment,” because nobody can be that ignorant.
