They will do the same thing to whomever the GOP forwards as a nominee.

Agree 100% with this whole post. Every republican presidential nominee and president has been the worst racist of all time. The next Hitler since the last next Hitler.

How many of these people in your meme has DeSantis hired?

He should have fired Fauci after a week when it became obvious that he was going to peddle whatever bullshite necessary to drag the covid hysteria out as long as possible. Instead, Trump gave him a microphone and the world's largest platform.

Not reading all that shite.

Both are better than the Dems. Whoever wins the primaries should get your vote. These threads are exhausting. Focus on the current administration instead of trying to divide our own.

But, if you'd rather go down swinging with Trump, I get it.

Considering he was a sitting president, and people tend to come out in droves to vote against a guy in that case, I have to wonder if the D’s won’t be as motivated to vote against him this time around.

One of the things that limited Trump was finding people he could trust. Looking for talent to navigate the swamp and get the right and best things done is a challenge of the highest order. It is not possible to win this fight without a capable team. Trump had some good people but not enough.

I'm not sure Ron DeSantis has the political capital

If he didn't give a damn like Trump, he would do it anyway. That's the difference between him and Trump. I couldn't agree more. Trump had 0 political capital. He continues to have none. Yet he'll get in there and wrecking ball their asses. That's far more important than the feelgoodism of having a more "Presidential" acting guy. I couldn't care less about how Trump acts right now. That is a luxury we cannot afford right now.

Trump wants to drain the swamp. He is not afraid to call out the cesspool of corruptness that is Washington, DC. That not only scare the scumbags in DC, it scares the people out there who want to pretend that it is not happening.

How is this talking point still getting repeated? Trump didn't drain any swamp. He made it bigger.

Trump was a terrible president.

I think the way Ron cucked Disney when they have run rampant over every other politician in Florida for years shows that they aren't that different in that regard. Different approaches maybe, same results thus far.

Geezus, we need someone to stand up and call this shite out. Someone with a voice.

You had him. And then he hired Christopher Wray. Someone you think Trump never could have known he was the swamp despite him having previously resigned over illegal surveillance techniques he used with James Comey and Robert Mueller under the watchful eye if George W Bush.

How was he ever supposed to know Wray was swampy?!!!

The economy should count for a lot. If we are still shoveling money to Ukraine and food and gas are through the roof, the rage against Trump might not be there like last time.

If he would just chill a bit with the attacks (no chance, I know)… I feel like he can only lose more potential voters than he can gain at this point.

Trump will be the first to tell you that he shouldn't have hired Bolton, Barr, or Chao. He doesn't defend them. Trump obviously has a better understanding of who he can trust, now.

Bolton was in 2018 and Barr was in 2019.

That excuse of trump was naïve doesn’t hold water.
