Without a doubt - and a substantial portion of them were going to secretly vote for Trump anyway.

I appreciate the endorsement but Barack Obama was a lying narcissistic psychopath, he wasn't presidential, he was a baby back bitch.

Yeah, but he was also a generally quiet, limp dicked pussy. Liberals like the Pitts Post Gazette eat that shite up.

That's great, and I'll take it. But the revisionist history about the "presidential" nature of the cited past Presidents is weak. And I'll take transparency of thought, warts and all, over the duplicitous BS of almost every other politician in history.
You, sir, are correct.

This is the best “journalist” article I’ve read in years. It’s well thought out, applies logic over feelings, hits both sides, gives FACTS not opinions for the conclusion, is not dogmatic, and likely goes against their personal feelings for a recommendation for their readers.

It’s what made these newspaper endorsements so important 40+ years ago.

This article is actually incredibly refreshing and one that I will send to friends on both sides of political ideology.

Bravo Post Gazette!

Seriously, its like people don't actually know who Churchill was. He is famous for some of his insults. His attitude is actually pretty similar to Trump in that he would insult men and women alike and would even insult statesmen from other countries. It seems odd that this paper would include Churchill as a foil to Trump but not understand how similar they actually are.

Agree. He was the one who divided the country by race for 8 long years.

And he started the war on cops, without a doubt.

I'm in my 50s and he was the worst and most destructive president in my lifetime.

Why can't people just admit this?

If you like your president to lead from behind and apologize for America exceptionalism then, yeah, Barack is your guy.

The PG has been a very good paper over the years. Even recently. One of the few.

And yes, I might be a bit biased. Pittsburgh is home.

(Trump) is not a unifier. He often acts like the president of his base, not the whole country. He has done nothing to lessen our divisions and has, in fact, often deepened them. The convictions and intellect of all Americans should be respected by ALL Americans, especially the president.

And how is Trump different from Obama in that regard?

Honest question...why do these newspaper endorsements even remotely matter? How many people are now voting for Trump because the Pittsburgh Post Gazette endorsed him. Not even a single person, right?

No but I think this article is attempting to make those totally turned off by him stop and think. They realize what is at stake here so they’re saying maybe hold your nose and vote for him because it’s best for our state and country.

I love that he’s not “presidential”. I’ll take someone blunt, crude, whatever you want to call him as long as he’s being himself. It’s shocking to me how many people won’t look past the fake persona of most politicians.

I also love that he’s not a politician. I want him to keep that outsider edge.

As someone with a very sarcastic personality, who is not easily offended, I look forward to his savage takedowns of people who need it.

No one will be surprised. The mostly online paper has been a pro-Trump site since it was taken over last year.

Let me guess. This rag has been Russia, Russia, Russia, impeach, impeach, impeach, OMB, OMB, OMB for over four year, and in the eleventh hour, when it is starting to look bad for their candidate, want to jump on the MAGA wagon? F'em.

Yes, F'em, but I don't see it as a bad thing for Trump in PA.

If a rag that enthusiastically endorsed Obama twice can't get behind Biden, it might convince some fence sitters that Biden really is a loser.

I mean didn’t Biden just throw Barack under the bus during the last debate about how his hands were tied the last 8 years....

You don't know Allegheny County then...

I have family up there. That county is WAY MORE red than people realize.
