Everyone's wrong. We were patrolling the no fly zone over the northern and southern borders of Iraq during Operation Northern Watch and Operation Southern Watch beginning after the Gulf War. We engaged in air skirmishes with Iraqi fighters, and defended our aircraft from surface to air missiles throughout this.
