Another interesting part of this. I’m hearing of differing leave policies for vaxxed/non-vaxxed. If you’re not vaxxed and have to quarantine, there’s some difference with types of days used for some companies versus vaxxed.

My employer would pay vaccinated employees for going on COVID leave.

Unvaccinated employees on COVID leave would not be paid.

(I quit for the record)

It would seem to leave your arse exposed if you’re the employer for a two-tiered system, which as we all know comes down to what your ins. carrier decides in the long run. My wife works in the gargantuan MU Healthcare system(non-clinical) and all her employees are vaxxed and of course 50-65% have tested positive so far this year. Surprisingly, not really, you’re on your own either burn your sick leave, which 95% don’t have or non-paid 10 day quarantine.

Really hope someone pushes back on that. Would love to hear the mental gymnastics required to justify financially punishing one employee when both have the same outcome - needing sick leave for Covid.

If 2 employees both have a heart attack, does the overweight one go on unpaid leave while the normal weight one gets paid leave?

Agreed, which makes it more confusing that LSU isn’t requiring a negative test from everyone to enter TS, regardless of vaccination status.

I say this without a hint of irony: Our Government, via traditional and Social Media, have successfully implemented a mass-brainwashing and radicalizing of a large segment of the population not seen since Hitler and the Nazis in the 30/40's.

The Left destroyed Godwin's Law.

My statement is simply irrefutably true.

CDC guidance that covers most HR decisions:

"Regardless the condition, you and your company are covered from all liability issues if you communicate these two guidance factors:

1) On learning of the situation with an employee, regardless the situation, tilt your head at a 30 degree angle
2) Clearly state "we ask that you bear with us. The virus is novel"

The vaccine DOES NOT stop transmission of COVID. Period.

If you aren't around anyone or only around someone that has already had it, you can "possibly" spread the virus.

Update: discovered my BIL presumably infected a couple of people at work when he went in after being exposed and vaccinated.

So how did you escape being vaccinated if it was mandatory?

LOGIC no longer exists in this whole mess!

The Vax does NOT prevent the spread, nor will it prevent you from getting sick....

And the HR department head should be fired.

I’m pretty sure the current CDC guidelines call for no quarantine if Vaxed and exposed.

I’m not saying they’re correct but that’s the current position.

Two weeks ago I had a huge exposure occupationally. I am Vaxed. I had a trip planned to visit my Mother which I cancelled. I also made it a point to avoid people as much as possible for the next five days. Thank goodness I never developed symptoms.
