I hope not.

I don't have faith that this country is smart enough to reject her.

We absolutely could not survive another 8 yrs of this kind of rule.

Gov Christie will win the nomination and then will probably pick either Gov Perry or Gov Jindal to appeal to the social conservatives.

YAWN..ooh a stupid straw poll....im like soo NOT impressed! Im all for Rand 2016...but lets be real here... Huckaf**k, Perry no brain, Sanitarium will never become president, nor will Ted cant appeal to no one Cruz. Rand Paul is the only option as of now. He has to reign in the extreme right loons and basically tell them to shut the bleep up and let him do his thing to attract minority voters...especially Hispanics and women. If the GOP even tries to follow the same game-plan (BLAME OBAMA, BLAME OBAMA!) as they did the last 2 elections...its Hillarys white house to move into.

Paul is far more articulate and detailed and not so much like his father in rambling on and on in trying to get to the point hes making. He also isnt some political yawn fest with the tired ol "I believe in a better america..a brighter future, a new dawn" bull crap garbage we hear all the damn time. He needs to focus squarely on the Constitution, grill the democrats on personal liberty while even tossing Obama with Dubya under the bridge in ripping them both for stripping away our freedoms..thus showing even he can lay blame in his own party thus appealing to liberal voters.

Amen! As a conservative libertarian I WAS a huge fan of Cruz..but his approach to putting out his message comes off as he is off his rocker. Listen, I dont care if you like him or not..he lost me when he went after the President in the manner that he did. He just seems "off". I dont give a crap if you think hes right or not, to me he simply seems like NO ONE who should ever be President or Vice President. There's just something about him that doesnt sit well with me and that's how I feel.

Rand is the only one if the GOP just keeps their mitts off him and let the Paul grass movement do its thing. The simple fact is, Georgia and Texas are going to be in play in 2016 and thats due to the exploding Hispanic populations which voted overwhelmingly for Obama. The general population isnt fond of Obama, but come down to the 2016 election, Im sorry...the majority of people will STILL elect another democrat unless the GOP gets its head out of its arse and deal with its image problem of being anti-black, anti-gay, anti-women, anti-tolerant party. They need to let Rand Paul run the show and tell the far right to zip it.

Dems ran on blaming bush in 2008 and won because of it.

Dems won congress in 2006 because of blaming bush.

History is going to repeat itself in 2014 and 2016 elections with repubs blaming Obama.

False, as they only did it in 2012 and Obama wasn't yet the dumpster he is right now as people still had high hopes for him.

I agree with you on everything else though. Rand Paul is the next President of the United States of America.

umm...The dems ran on blame bush in 2004...how did that turn out. Bush (even with negative approval) handed Kerry his arse on a silver platter.

You do realize that Rand is viewed as the far right.

for now yes...but let him do the talking and his views will not be seen as extreme as the left and the media make it out to be.

Same as the republicans in 2012.

Like it was with Obama in 2012, people still had high hopes for Bush in 2004 and both presidents weren't quite the dumpster fire they were at their reelections.

That wasn't the case in 2006 and 2008 and Repubs are going to run on blaming Obama in 2014 and 2016 and will have an excellent chance of winning.

Democrats ran on Iraq in 2006 and 2008, but it remains to be seen if Obamacare can hurt Democrats as much as Iraq hurt the Republicans.

The problem with Kerry is that he couldn't attack W credibly on Iraq because he voted for it, which what also cost Hillary in 2008. However, I wouldn't say that W handed Kerry his arse, because if Kerry had flipped Ohio he would have won.
