Why can't Paul Ryan get any votes? Did his association with Romney ruin him?

Kerry, LOL, he is probably the only person on earth that could make Hillary look like a competent S of S.

46% of the participants in the straw poll were between the ages of 18-25.

Despite my disdain for democracy in general, this makes me feel slightly better about the political future of this country. A sizeable number of that 46% will (or might already be) radical libertarians/anarcho-capitalists.

Paul - Carson?

Would be a strong ticket; though there is a substantial % of the Conservative base that has had it with the Black thing in politics (and that's a bad thing)...Carson could go a long way toward healing/resetting open-minded Black/White individuals and undoing the major damage that the divisive Obama has inflicted on the nation.

I listened to Carson last night. He's aggressive, in defending Constitutional/Cultural principles; if the Dems try to play the 'uncle tom' card on him...he play the race card back on them.

Right now, this ticket would be the best to take own whomever the Progressives put up. With Cruz up for a major role somewhere. Attorney General...or maybe the Supreme Court with Gowdy as AG.

One more solid election ripping the Dems on ACA, Economy/Debt moving toward collapse...Prog policy which makes Energy prices "skyrocket" while summers are hotter and and winters colder and food/basisc rising by the day. Not to even mention the Islamist/Russis/China hegemony and Obama's total feckless policy there.

Who know what the big issue will be by election time. Streets could be on fire if Russia, China, et al dumps us and the dollar tanks and interest rates go rogue. That would put Col. Allen West at the top.

Fascinating times.

Ryan is a numbers guy...like Jindal. Both need leadership to keep them on the straight and narrow. They could make the numbers work, if the boss were looking over their shoulder.

Part of me wants her to win just to witness you most of you melt down

Mmmhuh ...and the CONTINUED "meltdown" that you will see will be economic, racial, healthcare mechanism, energy costs, inflation , and most like either interest rates go up on the exponentially increasing debt...or the debtors drop the dollar.

In a selfish say, I'd like to see her win too. With her continuing insane policy...the above scenario and mega-collapse would indeed make the ultimate reboot a lot easier. Because there would be a big chunk of problematic individuals out of the mix; and virtually no opposition to an economy which bases reward on merity...and not need.

Will be ugly though.

Well... its more of a conservative pac vote so yeah Paul Ryan won't get much traction as he is too connected to Boehner and the "republican establishment", the leaderships lack of will on obamacare, deficit spending, and debt ceiling... and the final nail is his support for amnesty.

You do realize that Rand is viewed as the far right.

The media will say this about anyone that is a legit GOP candidate. They said Romney was too far right

Rand is far right in his small government and spending ideas. He leans left on social issues by believing in individual liberty and privacy. This is a stance that will resonate with most Americans..the ones who believe we need intrusive Government and deficit spending are in the vast minority.

Didn't Ron Paul win the straw poll one year? I put no stock in it. Goes to show you that what Republicans secretly admire and what they will actually accept are two different things.

Didn't Romney win 3 before he became the GOP candidate? Rand's won 2 now... but he's not establishment.

Romney and the Pauls have won 8 straight. Four for Romney, and 2 each for Ron and Rand.

Also, I have been a fan of Kasich for a long time.
