If avoiding forfeiting control to Dems were so important to Republicans, they would act now to secure elections. If they don't so act, it's reasonable to conclude it is not a priority for them

We're not talking about them. We're talking about us, conservative voters - and it makes zero sense, in any scenario, to do anything to help Democrats gain power.

Another way to look at it, and as I posted earlier - the issue is with not very conservative Republicans. Fix that in primaries. But don't help Dems gain power.

Yes. I agree. What we're debating is the "now what". And I'm suggesting ti would be counterproductive (and pretty stupid) to forfeit to Dems. You want to see things go from not as good as it should be to total shite? Just turn DC back over to Democrats. Were you awake during Biden's 4 years?
