This is the central point of contention. Let's not argue about who is right or wrong. But, can we agree that Desantis doesn't see the GOPe as a serious threat/problem? Or, even further, that he doesn't think the GOPe is an actual meaningful descriptor or anything?
Furthermore, can we agree that Desantis supporters believe that is Desantis' position and and agree with him?
On the other hand, can we agree that Trump does see the GOPe as a significant threat/problem?
Furthermore, can we agree that Trump supporters believe that is Trump's positino and agree with him?

I've posted more in this thread than probably anyone and in response to multiple people.
To answer your question, I'm voting for the guy whose election will lead to the reduction of power to the GOPe.
Your point about him hiring someone to run his campaign doesn't matter to me. It's certainly possible for people to good at what they do and to have worked with the GOPe in the past. Likewise, Desantis has people who worked for Trump on his campaign...some very good people.

Fully aware. It goes back to the hypocrisy pointed out several times today.
I just want to keep hearing you say that you don't care about the fact that Trump has surrounded himself with and promoted GOPe throughout his time in politics.....and in the same breath about how evil the GOPe is.
