No, confirmation bias. The people I’m referring to ignore information which doesn’t fit their previously held beliefs.
You focus on that and ignore your own biases. Thats why a stated "focus bias". They're close to the same thing and overlap...soo.

And I'm to believe he called and set up a netting for her to sneak out without anyone knowing?
And being a public figure he most likely had contact with many people throughout the day....and no one saw them together...not driving by..no drop in business contacts..nothing...and he was married at this time? Just the DA driving around with Miss SoandSo's kid. Who would ask a question about that??

I'll say if he did it once, he's a repeat offender and stuff will come rolling in

Is it surprising that in a small town in Alabama in 1979 that a 30 yr old man would ask a 14 yr old girl out on a "date"?
Roy's wife is about the same age as these accusers.

Arepeople actually taking this seriously?

That wasn't the question. Before the Moore allegations, when the Wienersteen allegations dropped..not as evidence and more and more celebs came out..but right after you heard it. Were your conclusions and reaction the same as 1 hour after Moore was accused?

I can't believe that the Washington Post is going to save the Alabama Republicans from themselves by nuking the Senate career of Roy Moore before it's even began. Everyone on the right should be happy that this sorry excuse for a human being is probably never going to get anywhere near Washington.
Oh, and some dude from Breitbart is on TV saying that only one of the alleged relationships was problematic. He thinks its perfectly fine for a 30 year old to engage in some heavy petting with a 16 year old.

How the frick is that not an answer to that question
? I’ll say it again: Yes, my reaction and conclusions are the same.

If Roy Moore doesn't drop out he is going to win dude

So what?
Which post are you referring to?
Posted on 11/9/17 at 3:28 pm to Dale51
quote:Mine was the exact same. I even started a thread defending Weinstein. As a rule I never believe accusations that happen days before an election. I also as rule never believe 40 year old accusations. You’d have to be an absolute fool to take them seriously.
How different was your reaction an hour or so after you heard about Weeiersteen compared to Moore?

I know. How sad is that. The party that has claimed for decades to be the family values party will hold their nose and send him to Washington.
You think he stays in? The number of party big wigs coming out against him is rapidly growing.

Do you know this with the same confidence that you guess that there was no Pop around? Where did she work?
Sooo..the perv had to work around the 8 hour work day...the same 8 hours time frame that he was working? Hmmm....

So, you believed all of the allegations against Weinstein and Spacey and therefore believed the one against Moore? Or you don't believe the allegations against any of them? Just for clarity.

The guy that had to be forcibly removed twice from the court for breaking the law instead of stepping down? Yeah safe to say he isn’t going to.

Can the state party people make the decision for him? Force him out?

After a long pause, Alabama Bibb County Republican chairman Jerry Pow tells me he'd vote for Roy Moore even if Moore did commit a sex crime against a girl.
"I would vote for Judge Moore because I wouldn't want to vote for Doug," he says. "I'm not saying I support what he did."
Just amazing.
