I could not disagree with her opinions and decisions more.
But I respected the heck out of her.
As a woman, I viewed her as a trailblazer.
Her very close relationship with Scalia told me all I needed to know about her.
My prayers are with her family and the SCOTUS tonight.

God speed, Judge.

Yep, One Eyed Harry set that precedent when he used the nuclear option to pack the DC circuit.

Nothing says great legal mind like judicial activism and legislating from the bench

Now we know why Trump published his list of prospective justices last week. Administration knew the buzzards were on the ground.

Well, thanks for the thread that confirms that this board is everything all the other boards say it is.

They have to go for it, if they lose White house or Senate, it is all over. Might as well try for it now. Screw any precedence, you know Schumer and team would not even bat an eye on doing it.

“Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) just said she will NOT vote to replace RBG on SCOTUS until after Election Day. "Fair is fair," she says.

Democrats will add 6 justices to the Court just to make sure they never lose control again.

A certain president already thought about that, decided against it. It is basically an act of war.

BTW- I do find it comical that Fox News had the in memoriam newsreels ready to go within minutes of the news breaking.

They’ve had them ready for several years now. They actually played them by mistake about 3 years ago and caused quite a bit of confusion.

The only precedence is the constitution.

You think if Schummer was in control of the senate and a Dem was in the WH that Schummer wouldn’t move forward? Lol

This isn’t impeachment. They just need a quorum in the SJC.

Well, I am persuadable. But seems like a very delicate tightrope walk in a volatile election environment- but probably necessary to prevent the forewarned constitutional crisis.

TBH- her seat was always at play- her imminent death was an open secret I'm sure. But lefties thrive off of emotion and carrying around Campaign Corpse Props seems to benefit dims these days.
