That’s not bad news. If that’s true, they should be able to stay under (or close to under) the ICU surge capacity. And it might help inform our policy moving forward.

Seriously. I never believed there were a bunch of people in the U.S. dancing in celebration after 9/11 but when you read some of these reactions to tragedy in NYC you start to believe it. Baffling and sad, but there’s a lot of sickos out there.

Why should people care about what is taking placing in NYC? People that have the means to leave the city are getting out and spreading it to other locations, but I don't expect that to have a major impact on things long-term.
The issues with NYC is that it is a tighly packed population density and the subways are still packed full of people all day long and the parks are full with people too.
People are posting empty streets but Covid19 is only spreading faster and now hitting all age ranges within NYC.
Would not be shocked if NYC loses a lot of population from this event and hundreds of thousands of deaths to come.
I predict the rest of the country eventually gets back to normal the NYC region will collapse from this virus. Police offers are getting infected by larger numbers now and they are starting to die off.
It's going to be ugly for NYC. The rest of the country will get over this sooner than later.

Deep down we kinda always knew the only unknown about the Trump presidency was what the official body count would be at the end.

Then I was told it was as much for the safety of the staff as the need of the patient...aerosolized virus and such. I'm not sure I agree with that policy. It seems like some would make it without a vent and they are taking the choice away.
