At what point would we start copying and pasting from the bible? Never? Way down the process, for sure.
The stupidity of your "thought experiment" relative to the OP begins and ends with your singular focus on the Bible.

intelligent design.

If you would call it "engineer," without the magic, I'd live with that.

I grew up in a baptist church. I heard that crap for years growing up. "Evolution is just a theory..." they taught us in sunday school. What a lie that was. It's all a lie.

Oh, and then who created the "engineer?"

I could link dozens of the best minds on the planet explain it to you, but it wouldn't matter. You'd already have studied them. You decide to get your science from Kirk Cameron. He makes your argument. Good luck with that,

How does that logic work? and where do you get that?

Not even the ancient Pagans believed everything everything came to be from pure happenstance.

The history of man has always included a belief in a higher being because it is absolutely impossible to understand the complexity of the universe.

Of course your posts today prove you are smarter than all the men to have ever walked the Earth that have believed in a God.---not.

Now as more scientist open the door to intelligent design does the political strategy of painting Christians as dumb science deniers hold water??

You know, it is OK to simply admit you don't know who/what/how the universe was created. The hubris involved in passionately arguing a particular stance on something as massive as the creation of the universe always makes me chuckle.

It's totally OK to say "I don't know. None of us actually know."

Lets keep this freindly. You make the argument for your god, I assume. I counter with the argument against your god. I can't help it if you feel stupid.

Of course they did.

Ivor The Engine Driver

My name is Ivor
I'm an engine driver

I know him well
I know why you feel blue
Just 'cause he's late
Don't mean he'll never get through

He told me he loves you
He ain't no liar, I ain't either
So let's have a smile for an old engine driver
So let's have a smile for an old engine driver

Please take a sweet
Come take a walk with me
We'll sort it out
Back at my place, maybe

It'll come right
You ain't no fool, I ain't either
So why not be nice to an old engine driver?
Better be nice to an old engine driver
Better be nice to an old engine driver

Even the science version of things doesn't have all the answers. The question is just way too massive for us to ascertain at this point.

I don't mind discussing it, but I always smile when people argue one side passionately.

The truth is we're a long way from having a comprehensive answer to the question, so let's stop pretending like we totally have it 100% all figured out.

I'm not arguing for either theory. I'm just saying that the certainty and arrogance with which some people argue their favored position is laughable considering the actual state of our knowledge about the origins of the universe.

For the evolution deniers on this board I doubt this is the case, but I'd say the fossil record contains the clearest evidence of such changes.

I would agree fossil records might give rise to a theory but they absolutely do not prove evolution beyond the species level let along the higher genus level.

I am not a evolution denier. I see it in my business. But I have never seen nor have you proof one organism evolved into something totally different. Humans have evolved a lot but there is no proof that we arose from apes.

Yet you have not countered with any arguments. Just bootstraps. That won't make anyone feel stupid. It just makes you look petty and uneducated.

This is exactly right.

It is the point of the article in the OP.

Haha. Yep no logical fallacy in your "arguments". I mean I said..try to make an argument without a bootstrap or a fallacy...you respond with a fallacy. Beautiful.

They've figured out a lot more than you give credit.

Your answer is to quit looking? We can see so far into the universe that the light takes millions of years to reach us. There's no kingdom out there.

Start with a few lectures on YouTube, Leonard suskind for example. We know A LOT. A lot more than we knew 100 years ago. Imagine the next 100 years what we'll learn.

Everything came from common ancestor. We had the same ancestor as the ape. Just different branches.
