Yes. The same people that "voted for Trump" also "voted for Congress". Honestly, they're not as far apart as many people seem to think.

For all his faults, Newt Gingrich, leveraged this by nationalizing the '94 election. Contract with America was a good idea--with RINO execution.

Because of this expected ruling, Democrats are abandoning the IEEPA strategy. Instead, they are pivoting to the "Clean Competition Act," which seeks to create a carbon border adjustment through legislation rather than executive order.

Fact.

People were taking opinions from other doctors to counter Fauci's claims. I don't believe there is a person out there that is smarter than Bessent when it comes to business, economics or the law regarding them. If there is then file a lawsuit and take it to court because that is the only way you can prove it. It took them a year to get the first one to Scotus. They only have 5 more to go.

The SC had to decide what we already knew, as the weak Republicans in congress can't do their job.

Not at all worried about this and will not discount that this was prolly expected and part of a tactical advance of larger strategic goals.

Also and as a fruitful side benefit, it will serve up on a platter legions of libtards loudly purporting Constitutional and economic expertise -which the vast majority lack or disdain, in any case- which will be memorialized and used in perpetuiy to illustrate their massive retardation.

That is all…

No, voters don't want term limits for *their* politicians. They most certainly want them for everyone else's.

Ah yes. They wasted a bunch of time and resources on this and created likely an absolute repayment legal debacle because it was intentional 4d underwater parcheesi strategy by Trump

Read that again… on NATIONAL SECURITY GROUNDS. I mean, everything Trump is dealing with could be classified as National Security Grounds.
Kinda addressed in today's ruling, tho. You can't enact broad tariffs under the grounds that everything is a threat/emergecy.

Just a guess..
I imagine Trump might post his disappointment about the ruling, and he will go on to say he has no choice but to expand Section 232. Or, expand on other tariff powers yet unnamed.
Hmm....

And we haven't even gotten to the new uncertainty in the market that will be created when Trump rolls his new tariffs under different statutes.

“So it could be codified?”

Congress could pass a statute allowing the tariffs or as Kav explained in dissent, the president could use other statutes to institute most, if not all of the tariffs.
