How is this comparable to eliminating excessive federal courts?
I was pointing out the clear hypocrisy of the press.

That’s what Maduro would do.

Your response is why I said “not entirely true.”
Yeah but we're not talking about the Supreme Court. But you already knew that.
We're talking about the lower courts. The ones Congress created.
They brought them into this world and they can take them out. My point stands, despite your attempt to muddy the waters.

Thomas Jefferson did it. He also (or the Jeffersonian Congress) tried to impeach a SCOTUS justice but that failed. I think the judiciary should be trimmed down just like every other department.

They can but it takes 60 senators to confirm so that ain't happening. Unless we pick up 7 more senators in the next election....

Remember when the libtards protested and threatened a certain couple of Supreme Court Judges with protests at their homes. Remember when they wanted (still want) justice Thomas impeached.
That was stupid, too.

They can’t. Hope this helps

The problem is that there's too many judges for civilian elections but at the same time these bastards have basically become pseudo-politicians with their activism. It's becoming quite clear they are just making rulings without true judgement. There has to be some procedure that they are breaking. There is literally no way these judgements can be made in this short of time. Then dipshits like Boasberg are trying to attack cabinet members to try to make a ruling seem legitimate. There is no merit in these stances besides activism and playing to a certain crowd.

There is absolutely nothing about Mike Johnson that suggests he's willing to enact radical change in DC.

"Remember when the press was calling the Supreme Court illegitimate?"
I do, and the Democratic press--let's be frank about who it was--was dreadful for having done so.
Unfortunately, Johnson's comments are also harmful. His wording is more careful, and he is, of course, correct that Congress has the power of the purse and the ability to establish inferior courts per Article III. But, like the Democrats attacking the Supreme Court, he is threatening action based on specific outcomes he does not like, and that is something I hate when either side does it.
