Canada will quickly move back in line, IMO. We do not have to buy anything from them, we do as a good neighbor.

Funny, how there have been recent Ontario CA commercials on TV.....never seen that my entire life.
Canucks are nervous....

So we don't need their lumber? Or oil? I mean just a few years ago I heard we had to complete a pipeline for Canadian oil to flow down or the economy would pay a large price....

The only specific product i can think of that prices may go up, is avocados.

Bug, I can speak directly to the produce side of things. This is what I did as a produce buyer. It is in no way limited to avocados. As everyone here knows that produce is seasonal, and we import a shite ton from Mexico throughout the year when our domestic crops aren’t in season. Everyone focuses on avocados (to my amusement) but the reality is a lot more than that. Your grocery bill is going to go higher, guaranteed and God help anyone that is a vegan.

A) China/Mexico has the most supply of?
B) Is this a product that can't be overtaken by another country?
C) What % of the supply of that good is provided by that country, in relation to the total quantity purchased by America?

A) Textiles is the easiest one with China

B) It can be overtaken and that is why I say we cannot just nuke their shite. You need to have another country, or countries, set up their supply chain to take that on. If you go and nuke their textile industry without a back up you will see significant inflation in that industry. That is my point here

C) According to this Bureau of Industry and Security it is 32.6%

My only point here is that you cannot just remove an industry that China dominates without inflation being a concern. You have to have someone else to take that on

I’m actually one guy who never pays attention to gas prices. If I need gas I just go fill up. I do think prices are high but yeah I’m not that guy that worries about it day to day.

Keep believing that.

There is not a rabbit that comes on the Saturday before Easter Sunday that brings free candy. Unless you are like 6 or under.
