would this statute include blocking ICE vehicles and interfering with ICE arrests?
If that were to happen in Texas, yes, I would think so.

This does not upset me because I also want Muslims yelling and screaming ab out how it is time for prayer to also be arrested.

DPD arrested John Wiley Price (s Black activist) multiple times for his shenanigans during protests.

I would assume that some do, perhaps most.

If you are suggesting that the protesters who interfered with ICE vehicles should have been arrested ... I agree with you. But I'm not sure how that relates to the propriety of THIS arrest in Dallas.

as I recall, he was arrested multiple times for blocking traffic on Northwest Highway.

for months, he was doing that little dance walk thing he does, after the light changed, locking traffic up up for miles.

Lawsuit coming

This is the way.

Go after the officer’s qualified immunity to teach lessons, and the municipality to pay for the cost of jail and lawsuit.

Never blindly back the blue. The majority will choose their pension over the constitution every time.

won't hesitate to arrest peaceful Christians

How do you know this Christian was being peaceful? I've seen these street preachers screaming out, calling women passersby "WHORES!" If I was walking by one them with my girlfriend, and he screamed out that she was a whore, I'd consider those fighting words. Inciteful language is not protected speech.

Maybe the peace officer was just trying to keep the peace.

As suspected, the "Libs of TikTok" did not remotely tell the entire story.
quote:

In a statement provided to Newsweek in response to the viral footage, the Dallas Police Department said the interaction took place on private property in the 2600 block of Victory Avenue, not on a public sidewalk. Police said off-duty officers hired by a third party were first alerted to a disturbance involving a group that included an individual standing on a large planter and using a loudspeaker in violation of the city’s noise ordinance.

According to the department, a nearby resident and responding officers asked the group to lower the volume. Police said several individuals attempted to antagonize officers during the encounter, prompting two people to be temporarily detained for officer safety.

“Both individuals could have been arrested, one for violating the noise ordinance and the other for Interference with Public Duties,” the department said. “However, officers ultimately exercised discretion.”

Instead of making arrests, police said they issued a citation to the individual using the loudspeaker and did not formally take either person into custody. At the request of a representative of the private business, officers also issued criminal trespass warnings to two individuals.
Sorry dudes, but you don't get to preach (using a loudspeaker) on someone else's property, especially after they ask you politely to leave.

And we now see that my analysis on page 1 was completely accurate. Red Cap was detained for the noise violation, and Black Cap was detained for the interference.

I wonder whether this reporting will "Open (anyone's) Eyes?"

I call it "boorish and unlawful" and was pleased to see that he was arrested for it.
