To stem the tide of blue kalifornians migrating… worth it.

A few weeks ago I was at a light and I get a big whiff of weed in my car. I look over, and big white smoke coming out of the car next to me. I just shake my head at the ghetto trash driving around. But then I just got furious when I look in the back of the car, and see 2 little kids, not in boosters seats, sitting in back. This behavior is what is being supported, and acceptable by all whining in this thread.

I guess it’s clear why Florida is kicking our asses now.
Lol, desantis and his wife are being investigated for their use of 10 million dollars of state settlement money, funelled to her charity, used to subvert the will of the majority of florida citizens, in regards to recreational marijuana. We are still kicking y'alls arse, but state marijuana laws aren't why.

What a joke the war on drugs is such a pointless not to mention unconstitutional waste of time and resources

As long as there is welfare, I disagree
For all the freedom chest thumpers, why should I have to pay taxes so that some fat frick on assistance can get high all day and pounds soda and other garbage? They end up going to the emergency room for cardiac problems and the taxpayer gets to pay another 5-6 figures
Until the welfare state is over, it’s perfectly acceptable to legislate what is and isn’t allowed

Abbott vetod the bill last minute so essentially encouraging the cali destruction of TX, and "legalized" weed. This was the time for an adult to do his job, but he was a coward. Not surprising though.

What they were doing is illegal in every state where weed is legal. Your example is completely irrelevant.

I won’t argue that there aren’t plenty of negatives about legalized THC but I shouldn’t have to risk jail time to bring my Aunt something in Houston that will relieve her anxiety and help her appetite when her meds aren’t working and she’s dying of cancer.

I’m not anti the stuff, it’s not for me I guess. But objectively where it’s free to use openly, not a good thing for a community.

No it's not irrelevant. It's the behavior you get with accepting and laxxing rules.

Has it ever occurred to you that potheads are unpopular with non potheads for a reason?
Look I have a drink now and then but I don’t try to explain to people why it is so great for society. Alcohol destroys lives and I’ve seen it first hand many times. If you go back to my first post on this thread you will see I said I don’t really care legal or not. What I did say was I can’t stand potheads explaining to me all of its benefits most of which is nonsense. They lack the honesty to just say I like doing drugs for the same reason everyone does, it makes them feel good.

Good. It stinks something awful and attracts the trashiest of elements.

So society needs to laxx rules for small segments of society. That's a great way to do things.

It’s a spiritual issue not a government issue. Prohibition of anything A) doesn’t work and B) eventually results in a stronger version of whatever you’re trying to ban

Isn’t medical marijuana legal in Texas?

So we should go back to alcohol prohibition so people won't be able to drink and drive?

Except I have to pay taxes that deal with the consequences

Very true. I have little nieces that went to new Orleans last year, and when I asked them what they thought of it all they said was "it stunk". And it wasnt the piss, but weed.
Unfortunately, Abbott veto'd it. But "apparently" he is going to call for a special session next month to "better regulate it". Apparently these businesses found a loop hole in a 2019 law, and they wanted to close it.
