'member when the Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market?

This guy does. And also got to witness the arse reaming from Bush Sr. to Nelson Bunker at Crawford Ranch over that.

If that didn't cause a 'reset', neither will this.

So, what is the smart move if you have sizable amounts of $$ in savings? What about Roth and traditional IRAs?

They will tell you to buy gold/silver.

However, if the USD fails this will all be worthless and the world economy will crash.

I am in no way qualified to give and this is not financial advice, but I only have as much liquid fiat USD to pay my bills from month to month. I am heavily invested in junior mining stocks and physical silver ( not paper ) for 2026.

Gold would be a good haven right now as well but I’m not looking just to protect, trying for gains so favoring silver.

I have a 401K with Vanguard that is in the stock market and I don’t have much control over it, but I don’t think the stock market will be allowed to collapse permanently / long term. Hope not.

I believe they just passed something that goes into effect in February that allows 401Ks to have funds in precious metals but not sure if my company will make them available right away or soon enough to take advantage of.

If you sell at the most volatile / fearful time you’ll be screwed, but otherwise I expect it will come right back up after all the fear and uncertainty time period has passed.

Definitely could be wrong but this is what I have discerned from paying attention to a bunch of people online who are smarter than me and are paying attention to the market and current events as well. Of course they could all be wrong too.

Never anything for certain in the markets, so do your own research and make your own decisions/ take your own risks and be willing / ready to deal with it if it doesn’t pan out.

After reading this thread from the beginning as well as your 21 page silver panic thread which you started last November on the Money Talk Board, I have to say you're coming across as being a little unhinged and a whole lot Drama Queen-ish.

Dude, seriously?

Never, ever, in the history of the entire world, has gold or silver ever been worthless.

Why must you prove your idiocy here every single day, with every single post?

If you're heavily invested in gold, I hope you hold it physically because gold certificates are going to be worthless. Every ounce of gold is leveraged a thousand times. They were betting on not everybody cashing in at once.
