How does this affect a big bank zip bag of Morgan silver dollars that’s buried in my dad’s closet? Supposedly they’re not worth more ch as collectibles, but what about the melt?

No gold but i do have about 590 troy ounces of pure silver my Dad passed on to me.
I’ve never been tempted to sell it so I just held onto it for all these years.
I guess I’ll just keep holding onto it and pass it along when I pass.

I’ve got a crown bag full of silver coins my uncle gave me before he died.
And my grandfather gave me all the silverware from their fine dining restaurant they had.

You need to check each coin individually for any additional collectibles value: https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/dollars/morgan/
They’re 26.73 grams =0.94 ounces x 90% silver content so at today’s spot of ~ $80 you’re looking at around $67 per coin I’m melt value with forecasts the value per ounce will likely double by years end
