It was noticeable this last Christmas. Slowly trying to get in some main leads of other races. Adding in gay couples as side characters. It wasn't terrible. I think it can be accepted as long as they don't go full blast and get crazy with it. But you know they will

Not a Hallmark movie, but a Netflix film cut straight from the Hallmark mold.
Better produced. Better acted. Happened to have an interracial leading cast.

In the entertainment industry, diversity often just equals more blacks. I don’t understand why they don’t get more backlash from underrepresented groups like Asians and Latinos. If you turn on the tv these days, you’d swear that 50% of the marriages in America today are interracial based on the commercials shown.

My 78 year old MIL watches this stuff all the time because it is clean and wholesome.

TV and cable save for a very few is becoming one big cesspool of divientsy. I now record just about everything so I can zoom through to the commercials. Commercials these days all have some stupid PC message in them and show the abnormal as normal.
My wife watches Hallmark and I watch with her quite often because they are usually not trying to shove PC down your throat. It's changing. They their first gay male love story a couple of months ago.

I do not think the interracial part is what folks think will be the issue.
I cannot watch one series from Netflix or other sources without all the varied sexual partners. The whole end is to make every possible perversion of human existence normal.
