The government taking someone's money isn't going to do that.

1st, you mistook what I originally said. Their money was the millionaire's money.
Anyhow, I'm saying that I want to live the American dream but want to pay my part to hopefully give less fortunate Americans a piece of the pie.

There is absolutely nothing that prevents you from doing that on an individual level.
Compassion by force is not compassion at all.

How do you reckon that?

Nothing you've said in this thread will do that

You can do that. Today. Right now?
What is stopping you?
However, that is not at all what you are stating in your OP. You went with what you thought was a cute "gotcha" for your enemies, until the moment someone pointed out how wrong you were.
Then you went with the classic Proggy move of "oh look, name calling" when a poster gently told you that you are misinformed.
Threads like this are so entertaining. The Progressive mind is something to behold.

My point is to make the distinction that there are a large majority of left winged people of great wealth that have no issue with handing over greater percentages of their wealth in income tax.
You see, these billionaires have made their money using the old rules and want to change the rules so no one else can do as they did. They want to limit their competition now that they’ve gotten theirs. These are the most vile people on the planet.
And look at murdering morning Joe as to how these people feel about paying their fair share. They will use every loophole in the book to keep their fortune, but insist everyone else pay the huge taxes they crusade for.

Savings is hard when you spend $6 on a coffee and some fancy donut.
These liberals spending $150 on jeans to wear with their blazers got all their priorities wrong. Imagine if they actually gave Jesus his 10%.
This is just how America is a guess. And I don’t like it.

Then fricking pay it. Give more of your own income to the Government. There is no rule stating you can’t pay more than the amount your CPA gives you each year. But you won’t bevause you’re a virtue signaling fraud

You could not be more wrong. There is no such thing as a 'loop hole'. There are tax deductions created by govt to coerce behavior.
IE, You get a tax break if you have a solar panel to save the planet.

The wealthiest among the left use the same tactics to conceal their wealth and minimize their taxes
That law would be up for vote if I were a Floridian. Joe and his wench will spend just over 50% of the year in Florida to not have to pay the nearly 7% they'd have to pay in the Northeast. Florida should require greater than 65% of time spent living in-state to exempt an individual from the tax. Otherwise, tax a lesser amount like 3.5% or so...

And the wealth inequality gap began to soar between poor and wealthy beginning in 2010 and during the remaining Obama years of trying to engineer “Pay your fair share” programs. The more the government tries to “regulate” outcomes the worse it gets.

horseshite, they take advantage of every tax break they can and probably breaks they shouldn't.
You're an idiot.

Where the hell are you getting your numbers from?
I’m an economist and I’ve never seen that statistic estimated anywhere near 80%. Most estimates are around a third of the population, with the max I’ve seen being around 50%. So you’re starting from a fundamentally flawed assumption.

Serious question :
Did you grow up with and were raised by a working male (dad, granddad, uncle) ?
Posted on 1/27/19 at 3:58 pm to ynlvr
Americas poor are not the same working poor that helped build this country. The entitlements have made them dependent.
You can subsidize them all you want and it's not going to help them become financially independent.

I was raised by a woman with several male influences.
But, I found my successes in myself. I'm not part of this past generation's misfortune of "my daddy raised me this way, so that's the way I am," and you take glory in it.
"Get your forward-thinking arse out of here, you prog!"
