I get that there are environmental impacts that we are going to have to find solutions to, but to say we should boycott Ai would be like saying we should have boycotted the industrial revolution.
My daughter gets onto me for using AI because of environmental impact.
I have concerns, but not enough to make me swear it off. The revolution is here, whether I participate and benefit or not.

They say it’s “decentralized” but these movements never are. It’s started by a competitor or some politicians to punish them for being pro-Trump.

I don't use chatGPT because I think there are better products out there. I'm currently using Gemini and think it's a lot more efficient.
Agree

They'd have been smarter to point to environmental or job displacement concerns. Idgits.

Sure, just not during working hours.

I read this with a teenage girl sitting in her room filled with Temu products (from the worst polluting country in the world) lecturing you on pollution

I'd say most likely a competitor
All of these companies are pro Trump on the topic of AI build out

Pretty much... she's 25, but loves that Starbucks and Shein.

All I know is if you are studying a language, languaAI is the bees knees.
What a marvelous program, obviously designed with learners and their weak spots in mind.
I looked at some of the generic AI for learning, and the aforementioned is by far the best.

Massive difference
I know the subscription versions allow more queries and produce faster results. I'm an infrequent user though. So speed or search volume are relatively unimportant. But if I want to do stock analysis, e.g., comparative sector PEG ratio's, I'd like the analysis to be in depth and accurate.
Is ChatGPT "Go" smarter than ChatGPT Free version? How about Plus vs Go vs Pro?
Or, if you're a Gemini user, what are the differences between their 4 tiers?

I haven't used ChatGPT or any other of the AI generated interactive offerings yet. So far, I haven't felt the need for it. It seems like it would be helpful, but it would also dumb down the intellect if a person became reliant upon it.
All told, I don't really know a lot about it. I guess I'm sort of like my parents who never really felt the need to change from a rotary phone to the push-button phones when they became the norm. What I have seems to get the job done and there's no need to make the deep dive into everything that the tech world provides and offers for consumers.

When I pull that trigger I will let you know.

Political contributions by OpenAI leadership: A widely shared claim in the campaign alleges that OpenAI’s president made a major political donation to a pro-Trump super PAC — a move critics argue contradicts the activist values of many Silicon Valley users.
What they're NOT telling you, is that it's almost 100% guaranteed that they likely donated just as much money (or more) to Democrat candidates and causes- which they would not protest or find hypocritical at all.

I was a bit wrong. I thought the free tier on ChatGPT limited to a previous model.
So my massive difference, is not quite so massive any longer. Just amount of usage, and speed is the biggest difference free to paid to pro.
