Christians aren’t the ones forcing their beliefs on everyone, nor are they responsible for 99% of the injustices currently going on in the world
All I was saying is modern society has largely strayed away from God’s light… and it shows

That was kind of my point. Gen pop is turning into such pieces of crap because people aren’t teaching their children to be decent. Maybe you’re getting what you want, a society that’s separating it’s self from God and this is what we’re left with? Maybe current times are are further evidence of the need we have for God?

God is a personal ideal. There's not 2 people on the planet who have the same idea who "God" is exactly.

Do you really believe this do you? How many missions trips do Baptist in North Louisiana go? How many Catholic and Methodist churches are in Africa trying to convert people? All religions are built on spreading their belief system and converting people (and collecting money for) the church. Look at the Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses knocking door to door.
I’m not against most religions and think people should find what works for them and respect other peoples beliefs, but I don’t want society or government telling me what God I can or cannot worship.
I believe in this:

Murder has been around before god has. It’s always been a problem.
Are you arguing that murder pre-existed the universe that was created by God? Or that God is a man-made construct?
The second argument at least makes some sense, even though I believe it to be folly.

God should not be deciding our laws, not everyone is religious in this country. Y’all talk about religious freedoms and forcing stuff onto your kids, look what you’re doing

Absolutely.
Every metric related to crime and civil society/morality can be seen going in the wrong direction since 1963.
I will leave it to the astute scholars of the board to determine what happened in 1963.

John Adams once said “ Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other”
John was a very wise man then and his words or no less true today.
What we’re seeing around the world in nearly every nation is the result of unrighteous and immoral people in the highest places of power, in the governments and corporations.

God is everywhere. I don’t know what kind of weak God you are describing, but our Catholic God hasn’t been “expelled” from anything.
You're not Catholic, you love abortion and every other perversion. Go be Episcopalian

God is truth. He is love. He is all that is good. Without Him, you are left with nothing but moral relativism.

Yeah... I will take religious dogma being pushed, over my kids learning they can be 90 different genders .

The government didn't instill moral values, the Bible did that but the followers of Lucifer removed Bibles from the schools.

We certainly have a values issue, but it's 100% a nation-wide parental issue imo. There's a lot of good parents out there, there's just a lot more crappy ones.
Again, the Bible enforces the responsibility of parents over children.
Hillary said It takes a village. How is the Village doing the job.

God does not force Himself on anyone.
You alone have the choice to accept Jesus Christ or reject Him.
Christians going on mission trips are not forcing anything on anyone. They are sacrificing their time and money to present a message to people who otherwise might not hear it.
They are not coercing anyone to do anything. It is a choice, period.
Unlike Islam, Communism, etc... where you are forced to comply or be killed.

I'm a former atheist that agrees with you. I'm still wrestling with God on a personal level, but I now see the folly of my past beliefs and am working towards becoming a better person for myself, my family, and society. Praying for you brother in your walk with the Lord.
I don't yet know how to encourage others to follow suit.
I feel ya brother. I’ve never been an atheist but I’ve struggled with making sense of why an Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent Creator would want to have a relationship with me? Then I pray and pick up my Bible, and read…..most of the time the Lord sets me straight in short fashion. Another thing that helps me spiritually is continually listening to great preachers/pastors.

Atheists attempt to convert more people than any religion. As a former Atheist I know I did and it was my mission. Atheists love to share their belief system.
