So you hope I don’t get it back? You would rather the government have it than a private US business to grow and hire?

This admin expertly applied yolk to the faces of Roberts, ACB, and Gorsuch. It was a political ambush Tariffs continue in stride, and the justices are sitting in chambers admitting they did nothing to thwart Trump. And tarnished themselves by siding with Sotomayer, Kagen, and Brown Jackson, which will tarnish their own legacy Like Kennedy did with ghey marriage

It’s a thing of beauty. Now Trump gets to follow the money. You know Roberts didn’t do this for charity.

You personally spent $15M on importing goods for your US based business?

Why do you think the tariffs were imposed? Think really hard about that as you think about the $15M in just tariffs you’ve paid. Now think about how much in goods you’ve imported from somewhere outside the United States. The goal is to get you to stop importing cheaper products and undermining American businesses a you won’t have to pay $15M in tariffs.

Please stop telling everyone they are stupid because they dont agree with you. You are stupid because you don’t understand the most basic concept behind the tariffs. You’re too busy looking at the tree instead of the whole forest.

I paid about $15M in tariffs in the last 12 months.

Which you passed on to the consumer. In order to sue, you have to show damage. They is no way you just ate $15M

If your consumers paid extra, then they would have to sue for their actual loss. Most didnt know even realize that they were even paying tariffs.

What does your company do? Sell plastic yo-yo's made by slave labor in China?
And who are your employees? illegal aliens?

’ll be paying 0% on Monday instead of 25% which is a great thing for my company and employees.

So who makes the equipment you sell? or the parts for the equipment you make?
and what is the cultural makeup of your employees?

This board supporting taxes is amazing

"people on this board" supporting supporting foreign sources for their products rather than enabling US entities to produce them employing US citizens is disgusting - but expected from democrats who only succeed via corruption, fraud and criminality.

So you import your merchandise to sell on the American market right?

Are there any American companies that provide basically the same product? Do you directly compete with American made goods?

Yes, about $15M in the last 12 months.

Well, a 25% tariff was paid because India was fricking around with Russia. The other 25% tariff was a reciprocal tariff to eliminate the trade deficit, protect some US industries, etc. I get that and I am not saying there should be no tariffs. What I am saying is that in my industry the 25% - 50% tariff did not shift any manufacturing to the US. And I do not think that will happen unless tariffs are in the 200%-300% range. And unless large US end users like Exxon, Dow, BASF, etc. stop buying foreign products for their production, this will be the case.

All the 50% tariff did was cause my US business to make less profit and pass on a price increase to my US customers. The overseas company I am buying from was not really affected (I did get about a 5% reduction in my price).

I passed some of it on, not all. I couldn't just raise my price 25% across the board. I would lose market share. So my GP dropped about 10% from one year to the next. Plus, a bulk of the tariffs were paid for products that are for my stock. So, i had to pay the tariffs at the time of import and may not sell those products for many months after. Cash flow issue which inhibits growth and hiring.

India.

We have about 50 people. All US citizens. About half are $100k+ jobs. Hourly employees that work in warehouse are paid about $20-25 / hr.

Correct.

Most US companies in my industry are getting complete products or parts from foreign countries. Some will assemble in the US. A few of the large companies may have a particular type of product that they build in the US but it is not common. It is usually for government projects where products must be 100% made in the US.

In this thread you admitted that your customers paid the tariff via an additional line item on the invoice.

You also said that you negotiated a 5 % reduction from your supplier.

Wouldn't that mean you are profiting an additional 5%?

What was your net income as a percentage of sales pre tariff? Post tariff?
