Pandering to the idiot women who can’t decide between 2 polar opposite candidates.

Again, not a boomer. Consumer spending is out of control compared to when I grew up. You don't think a trip through Starbuck's hits the family budget? Maybe not once per month, but once per week sure will. It's possible you're so young this is all just normal to you. No idea.
Take nail salons, for example. Do you realize that these things didn't even exist when I was growing up? Now there is one on every single corner and they are PACKED with women. Teen girls, 3 year olds... it doesn't matter. Everybody's up in there getting that dip and tip. And don't get me started on homecoming hair, spray tans, etc. Again, this was not a thing when I was growing up.
Oil change places, car washes, Door Dash, travel ball, competitive cheer, competitive dance, Amazon, cell phones for 6th graders, $100k cars/trucks ALL over BR (a relatively "poor" city), and the list goes on and on. On many things it's just death by a thousand cuts. Little things here and there that really add up. And you're knocking what I said about Instagram, but there is a level of "keeping up with Joneses" that 100% wasn't a thing. People didn't know better.
And considering the average salary in Louisiana is around $50k (give or take) it makes zero sense to be paying out the nose for child care when people could likely just cut back in areas. That's my only point here. I'm not talking about YOU specifically.

No, I just don’t do these things nor do many people I know, yet you want to apply it to an entire generation. I’m 40, not exactly young. But please keep on keeping on with your broad generalizations and assumptions

If you say so

Most people don’t live in Louisiana

Well, we are on TD, so it was an obvious example.
And I stand by every word I said. I went to all of high school and undergrad in the 90's. Life is very very different now in terms of consumer spending. This is not even slightly debatable. People will never grow meaningful wealth without paying attention to how money works.

Tell me all about how to build wealth house mom. Or should I ask your husband?

Spend less than you make.
Repeat.
Repeat.
