Uh, yeah.

Those military operations started on March 20, 2003 and Baghdad fell on April 9.

That regime took right at 3 weeks to defeat.

What a ignorant comparison. Seriously stupid.

Show where we have declared a war. Bet you can find it.

There was massive build up and a damn draft.

Show me where we have done that with Iran.

Depends how long it lasts, what US assets/personnel are involved and the number of US casualties taken. If it is wrapped up quickly, or if it is prolonged bombing without major troop involvement, then most people wouldn't consider it a war. If it requires large scale US troop involvement, particularly if there are casualties, then most normal people would probably consider it to be a war.

Hopefully decapitate the Mullahs and let the free Iranian people figure it out with some minimal guidance and oversight.

I fully support the attacks. But the succession plan seems to always favor the overthrown regime. Wish there was a better answer. If we would just hammer their nuclear facilities until theyre no longer recognizable i would consider thay a win. There doesnt seem to be amy fight in the civilians to keep the next round of ruthless dictator types from gaining control.

I’d like those that downvoted OP to answer one simple question:

Do we have boots on the ground in Iran? No? Ok.

Not a war then.

If a Chinese carrier group launched a missile strike on the White House to facilitate a regime change or Iranian commandos conducted a midnight raid on Mar A Lago and kidnapped Trump for alleged crimes against the Iranian Republic, I think we all would agree these would be considered acts of war against the United States.

Acts of war do not constitute a long drawn out war.

Which is the point of OP.

Glad to know there was never a Korean War, Vietnam War, Iraq 1, Afghanistan, Iraq 2, or any other war since 1941.

Does not equate to war.

Under your hypothetical question, if it ended there then there would be no war.

If there was a prolonged response (which of course there would be) then it would be a war.

“The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost and we may have casualties, that often happens in war, but we're doing this, not for now. We're doing this for the future, and it is a noble mission".

Trump thinks this is a war

That is semantics. What is the definition of is. What is a woman. What is a vaccine. What is a war?

It is all semantics.... definition changes.

I agree we might not be technically at war. But by MY definition we are finally in a war that I agree should have happened long ago, instead of the BS wars to liberate countries that hate us.

Finally a war in a country that actually was begging for us to intervene to save them from muslim murderers.
