Well, you could shoot them back, right?

Yeah, she didn’t exactly ease in and look for targets - she came in blazing. I think the school did everything they could within reason re: shooter procedures.

I saw the video this morning and I think the school did the best that they could have done. If you notice, the halls were empty. The minute the gun shots rang out, I am sure that there was an alert sent out to all the staff that there was an active shooter.
At that point, staff has instructions on what to do, go into rooms, lock the doors, cover the windows if possible, and keep students as quite as possible. We practice this drill once a month at my school along with fire and weather drills.

No one is at fault in this situation except that horrible woman who decided to go out and murder 6 people yesterday.

Yeah she had specific targets in mind. They are also saying that she wanted to target another school, then backed out because it was so secure. Whatever gave her cold feet there needs to be replicated everywhere.

Speculating here, but guessing it was CPA. Covenant is feeder school into CPA, is a couple miles away,

CPA has multiple security personnel on campus, both identified and unidentified. Many of kids there are from wealthy/famous families. I’m sure he/she was aware of this from attending.

Plus she wanted the pastor, pastors kid, and headmaster at Covenant for their disapproval and efforts to discourage her transitioning.

She had two targets in mind. Guess why she passed on one and went for the other dipshit?

Being able to return fire helps mitigate that along with other security measures.

There is a reason just about all of these shootings take place in "Gun Free Zones". No one has the capacity to fight back. Which is exactly why this bitch chose this particular target.

You understand just how evil and morally corrupt the media is when USA Today post a Tweet apologizing for misgendering the shooter.

What in the actual frick.

Call your daycare, school, etc and ask how they plan to prevent these things.

If they don’t have a plan help solve the problem. Don’t wait until these things show up at your door. A security guard is not that expense spread out over the entire student body.

She literally didn’t go to one school because it was protected. These cowards are looking for easy fights not to be engaged quickly.

The fastest response to any active shooter is someone armed on the scene.

A school can spend a million dollars on security. A 300-person private school can’t.

My child's private elementary school added a full-time armed police officer and asked that each family contribute $150 to offsetting the cost to the school. My other child's private high school did the same.

Both have had their facilities retrofitted with additional security measures as well, since both are open campuses instead of a traditional single-entrance school.

It can be done with minimal contributions from families in addition to additional funding from the school, and call me naive, but I think most families would be willing to contribute to make these things happen in their children's schools.

You can't but a competent, armed security guard could have made a difference here...

Glass doors didn't help, either. Schools (especially parochial schools) have to focus on active shooter mitigation. My friends who teach at a small Classical Christian School have really upped their focus on protective measures over the last year. Schools are a focus...especially Christian schools. You can at least make it harder for those who would come to harm our children.

This approach of affirming every dysfunction has bred more dysfunction.

Cause/effect is very difficult for some people I assume.

Yes, if nothing is done by law enforcement and congress, the people will take over.

Targeting kids by transfag mentally ill terrorists may finally wake this country up.
