So you would rather people continue to endure cruel and unusual punishment relative to what they did just because you think it may influence a few seats in an election?
I can't take you as a serious person

They are in the DC city jail. Are those conditions fine for other criminals and just not J6ers? Or do you think we need to overhaul the prison system entirely?
Are other criminals there placed in solitary confinement based on political views like J6 defendants?
Are the J6 prisoners treated equal to the other prisoners?
If not, there’s an issue.

It’s not necessarily about the truth or what we know happened. Most voters don’t know what happened or why it happened and what caused it to escalate. People will remember what they saw and not what it was about. The videos and pictures are not good. CBS poll 78% of people disapprove of actions on January 6th
From Spectrum
quote:
Meanwhile, 26% of voters said the legal punishments for people who entered the Capitol have been too harsh. Thirty-eight percent said the penalties have not been harsh enough, while 35% said they’ve been fair.
CBS

Politically it is a bad idea and not what is right or wrong. The right thing would be to pardon a lot of the people. People that assaulted cops like the guy that sprayed bear spray on cops shouldn’t be pardoned.

I have a direct connection to a J6'er. He has to serve every weekend in jail for 2 years.
I've also had to serve weekends in jail before. They kept all the weekend inmates together and never took us out of central lockup. They were too lazy to process us just for a 2 day stay.
Not sure who any of that matters to the conversation, but just figured I'd add it. I'm very interested to hear how this election will affect him. He's nearly 6 months into his weekends sentence.
