Trump met Melania through Paolo Zampolli who was a modeling agent and co-owner of Metropolitan Models. They met at a party at the Kit Kat Club in Manhattan. Paolo Zampolli and Epstein ran the the same social circles.
They operated in the same NYC modeling world, where Epstein had connections through associates like Jean-Luc Brunel (a modeling scout accused of abuse linked to Epstein) and attempts to influence or acquire agencies. One specific claim is that Zampolli and Epstein attempted to buy the Elite Model Management agency together around 2004. There are indirect links via Ghislaine Maxwell (Epstein's longtime associate). In 2013, Zampolli was involved in a partnership with Maxwell's TerraMar Project (an ocean conservation nonprofit), alongside others like the late Stuart Beck.
Despite Melania's "modeling" past no one should hold that against her IMO. From all accounts she's a beautiful, lovely and high character woman.
