Because they would need 60 votes to pass and only have 53. Means ALL of the no spine republicans would have to vote for anything AND 7 democrats. That would give schumer power over anything that the Republicans tried to pass...

Because anyone with a brain knows there will be no tax hike. There will only be a larger and larger deficit each year, there will be money printing to cover it, and there will be the resulting inflation because of it.

There are no small bills. That is the problem. I would love for a law that forced congress to pass single issue bills but it will never happen and it just gets worse and worse. 1000 things get tacked onto every bill now. It sucks but it is the only way to get things passed without a huge majority.

If he ran each individual bill, it would take years to go through plus he would need 60 votes per bill.
Every administration gets two reconciliation bills that only requires 51 votes so they cram the mandates through this big bill

You need 60 votes to pass a single bill. The BBB can be classified as a Privlaged Bill and only needs 50 votes to pass.
For example, if the Senate just voted to make the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent, the Democrats would kill it and taxes would go up for everyone.
Border security bill? Dems would kill it.
No tax on tips? Dems would kill it.
Eliminate fraud in Medicare? Dems would kill it.
