Being close or working with Trump is not a place one wants to be. Literally nobody in his cabinet was out campaigning for candidates Trump endorsed because almost all of them have been personally insulted by Trump at one time or another.

Don't know if this story is true, I really do not trust the main stream press. But Trump by his own words makes me think he is capable of never taking ownership when things go wrong. So it may just be a logical guess.
