Giving a platform not to Trump but to Democrats under the guise of “undecided voters” to amplify their narrative and talking points by “everyday people” and coordinated with a Democrat Party operative (Steph).

Off-topic but am I the last person to know that supermarket sweep was coming back? Man, I hope they can capture 75% of the amazingness that was the original.

Lucky T- I know you're solid. I saw it as Trump going into the lion's den and holding his own.
Fair point.
And a lot of people here feel the same way.
This is just a rare occasion where we make different observations. I just don’t see where he won anything here tonight.

That's fair but you don't think Trump did a good job answering the hard left questions? Polls also consistently show that 75-80% of the public believe the media is biased so I don't think they will look at that and take the questioners or George at face value. They can't even say that Trump didn't get any push-back on his responses because George did it all night and responded to that push-back well. I think it will be helpful to Trump even if it only pulls 1% support away from Biden. With the ahh Trump vote that could be huge.

They’re not going to vote for Trump because they feel the media is unfair lol.

Was nervous for him with the setup, But thought he did well. He showing he can handle the hard questions in a tough environment. Now he can say Biden head on out an do a 90 minute Town hall with not knowing questions before hand.

How?
Take your time writing your response. I’m not being sarcastic. I’m really trying to see what I supposedly missed. Enlighten me.

You just don’t want to get it tonight for some reason. Maybe it will sink in later. Have a good night.

Because he was not the ogre he has been portrayed with an immigrant and a person hurting.

I love this too. I think you know the consequences at stake, are concerned about them as much as the rest of us- all missions have risks. I think he lost none, and only had gains to make. His calm demeanor throughout the hostile barrage was solid and impressive.

This. He was empathetic with the new US citizen, she said her mom loved Trump, he had a very solid pushback on the "cowards and losers" question as well as bringing our troops home and not starting wars. Most of those suburban woman only see the worst aspects of Trump so they internalize him being a monster who hates brown people when in reality that seems to be far from reality. Anything that he can do to shake that image helps him. And really it can't hurt him because that voting group is already against him.

I think he did alright, better as the night wore on. But I think the coordinated onslaught and amplification of Democrat Party talking points was so substantial that it dominated the staged event. Therefore, I believe it helped the Democrats by saturation. And, sadly, the media influences and sways people, especially the kind of people who watched this tonight...undecided milquetoast mushheads.

The abrupt end was odd

It wasn't even close to being fair or respectful to Trump. 80% of the "uncommitted" voters were hard left and will never vote for Trump. George also constantly interrupted Trump as he spoke. If they would do that to Biden I wouldn't mind but no one actually believes they would ever ask Biden anything difficult no that didn't have a response pre-written on his teleprompter.
Stop with the its not fair argument because Biden gets kid gloves treatment. This election is a referendum of Trump and Biden is just along for the ride. Trump has the most difficult job in the world by being President of the United States. If he wilts under pressure over tough and hostile questions he shouldnt have the job. As I said at the beginning of this thread he did just fine. In fact i would say he did great.

I mean, it’s not like there’s any new or even more fodder here for them. And here he was able to show himself addressing it all head on. It seems a stretch to try and find a way to paint it negatively or as any sort of loss.

LuckyTiger,
He came off very compassionate with the legal immigrant and told her we wanted people like her and he wanted people to to do it legally through the system, which is what a lot of Hispanics like because some have to wait 13-14 years to gain citizenship the right way and don’t want those who did it the wrong way, skip in line and be rewarded. That had to help with the Hispanic vote.
And supporting our police has to help with soccer moms because they want to live in a secure and protected environment. Plus, Trump showed his sensitivity tonight which helps as well.
