You already know that many people feel this way though so I’m not sure what answer you would really accept.

Many people claim a lot of things are racist that clearly aren't. This isn't the standard. In fact, many people claim so many things are racist these days that no one cares anymore about things that are racist.

If you had a job as a social media manager and you would green light posting a video of black people as monkeys then you sound a bit incompetent and should probably stay far far away from political strategy roles though

Well sure. If you had a job as a social media manager and you green light posting a video that compares anyone to any animal then you would sound a bit incompetent. That has nothing to do with race and isn't unique to black people and monkeys.

So maybe I should clarify my question, because apparently "why is this racist?" wasn't clear enough. Why should anyone consider this specific combination of animal and people worse than any other combination?

So the absolute best defense for this is that a staffer with access to the most powerful man on the planets social media is posting videos without each watching them all the way through

I’m looking forward to hearing the name of the staffer and the explanation as to why they have access to the accounts in the wee hours of the morning

No, the best defense is it isn't racist and no one actually cares. No one will be talking about this on Monday.

To you. But you're not part of the group that resonates with the pendulum swinging so far back toward having social permission to say whatever you want.

quote:

Not sure why that is a good thing regardless of the motivation for it.

I'll bet that's not true. You're gay, right? Think about it this way: Gay people were oppressed and cowed into hiding who you were for a long time. When y'all began to push back, your pendulum swung back the other way too.

Gay people have always presented the message, "We're just like other people with one little difference." But then when you got the opportunity you paraded down mainstreet wearing baby diapers and S&M collars and buttless chaps and demonstrating or suggesting all manner of sexual kinks and fetishes in public. And you chanted stuff like, "We're here, we're queer, we're coming for your children." Definitely demonstrating for all the world to see that you are NOT just like me, but for one little difference. And you haven't stopped since. And I'll bet you're not anti-Pride Parade, are you?

This is the same way. Normies and social conservatives and others who have objected to the culture of post-modern, hedonistic, anti-Christian, collectivist values governed by identity politics and political correctness have spent what, 30 years maybe? being cowed into submission and silenced by the left, and Trump is the organic, natural result of that oppression/suppression.

Is it what I would ideally like to see? Nah. I get downvoted here regularly for criticizing it, although I'm criticizing it from the angle of, "This is not a good idea," rather than the angle of, "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT!!!!"

Maybe you similarly wouldn't ideally like to see the out of control fetishism displayed at the average Pride Parade...I definitely know some gay people who wouldn't.

But that's human nature. That's what happens. I don't care for either one. But I understand both.

quote:

It’s also a terrible way to win in an argument/debate.

Yeah, well, the Pride Parades aren't convincing me that I have much of anything in common with leather clad butch guys pantomiming Golden Showers on a partner who is wearing a dog collar and a leash either.

Oh, it's racist all right.

I don't know why people can't just tell the obvious truth about it.

Defend it if you want to. But defend the truth, not an obvious lie.

The author of the report is too busy to answer, so I asked Grok for you.

quote:

Grok says:

Access to the President's Truth Social account is typically managed by a small, trusted group within the White House communications team to ensure secure and coordinated messaging. Based on the structure of the current Trump administration, this would primarily include:

Dan Scavino, who serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications. He has been a longtime aide to Trump, dating back to the 2016 campaign, and has historically overseen the President's social media accounts, including crafting and posting content on his behalf. As part of his role, Scavino manages profiles across platforms and has direct involvement in digital strategy.

Members of the Office of Digital Strategy (ODS), which handles the White House's online communications, including social media. This office is led by the Assistant to the President and Director of Digital Strategy (a position that reports to the White House Chief of Staff). Staff in this office, such as digital communications directors or deputies, would have operational access for posting, monitoring, and removing content. In the current administration, roles like Deputy Communications Director (e.g., Kaelan Dorr or Caroline Sunshine) may also be involved in day-to-day management.

Other senior communications staff, such as the Communications Director (currently Steven Cheung) or the Press Secretary (Karoline Leavitt), who coordinate overall messaging but may not have routine posting access. They could request or approve posts handled by the digital team.

Access is tightly controlled to prevent unauthorized posts, as evidenced by the recent incident where a staffer erroneously shared a video, which was quickly removed. The President himself also posts personally, but staff support is common for reposts, scheduling, or quick responses.
