I've zoomed in and studied those pics a lot. I think the gun is away from him because his body did a good bit of nerve flopping after the killshot. And the dark think behind him kinda looks like a back pack. Imo

Don Jr told a story on his rumble channel, (before the shooting) about drawing an Elk tag after Trump won the election and he had to have SS detail on his hunt. He said that he made them back off a couple of hundred yards after not having any luck and then he got an Elk. They came to kill site and he started quartering it. One agents started throwing up, he questioned their ability to do their job
