I tend to question people who introduce race into comments when it adds no additional value to the point being made. His comment would have had the same meaning so why did he have the need to introduce race to it?

I'm not even sure if this is the case. I'm more convinced that folks in the security state told Murdoch to fire Carlson or else face lawsuits from every former Fox employee they can find and pay off for the rest of your life and be prepared to be overregulated by every federal agency they can get in contact with if you don't.
