You cannot have a Reparations thread without paying tribute to the funniest skit of all time.

Not familiar with Tulsa’s situation but as far as reparations as a government handout, I have to cast shame on those who hope to receive it.

I feel like I've already made my reparations by watching that HBO Watchmen series that was based on this.

Sigh yes as of June they hadn't identified anyone in the grave.... Doesn't mean mass grave wasn't found, and that they weren't trying.... Hell there's still living victims guys....

Anyone that blames their predecessors for the plight in order to get a handout is not a productive citizen.
They are a leach on society.

Imagine the irony of people living in former "Indian Territory" having to pay reparations for black people. You'd think they'd push for native American reparations before black reparations in Tulsa. Oklahoma wasn't even a state during slavery. This will definitely go well

I may have read things wrong but I thought we were talking about an event that happened in 1921… and did not involve slavery.. just racism?

We've been providing welfare, medicaid and food stamps to their descendants for 54 years.

Isn't that enough

People want to ignore this but it’s relevant

The above programs are not funded through even measures. They take from the haves and give to the have nots.

For anyone that want reparations, the above items need to be accounted for against what they think they’re owed

If you pay ransom money or blackmail money even once, you will forever be paying it

Right, there's mass graves, and probably a decent paper trail. This is much different than slavery shite.

What about the Watts and Detroit Riots in the 1960's? The Los Angeles Riots after the Rodney King Incident? "The Summer of Love II?"

Yes, very well for the people and the relatives of those who administer the programs and their political sponsors; not so much for the intended recipients.
