When I was in college there was a huge video game message board called NeoGAF. It was awful. Full of fricking losers who were outcasts. Because it was a place where video game industry insiders would post information the message board was really big, but it had Stalinist moderators that banned for any and everything.
Anyway about 10 years ago turns out the site's moderators and owners were all a bunch of pedophiles who circulated child p*rn. Went to prison and everything. Sadly the members who didn't go to jail spun off into a new website called Reset Era.
But honestly it was a great glimpse on how places like that online can radicalize people.
