I don’t really care about NATO because it’s just more tax dollars down the drain. We should pull back and keep the NATO borders where they were in 2021. Russia was harmless before and they only fricked with Ukraine because they thought it would be easy. At least this pointless war has shown Putin that Russia’s gamesmanship is lacking.

It’s unlikely this^^^ is the reason. There are some military strategists in the West, one being Colonel Doug Macgregor who believes Russia is planning a knockout offensive in the next month or two. Right now Ukraine is bloody, broke and feeling the effects of diminished power generation, oil supplies dwindling, growing food shortages, oh, and here comes winter.

WSJ had a quote about supplies running low and I think reasonable minds in the Pentagon want to nip this in the bud before it gets a lot uglier this winter. The State Department would continue escalating until WWIII.

Most likely the main cog but surely FTX isn’t the only source for laundering all the money that has been committed to Ukraine.
