We did a lot of stupid shite back then, including jailing journalists over the war.
The text of the law remains however. And that text was construed to include gang violence an insurrection. You may not like it but the legal precedent is clear. All the lying and obfuscation doesn’t change the facts. Facts you were ignorant existed.

Roger, Can you link me to this quote? You put it in as a quote, but I don’t recall you saying anything about the modern age in this thread. I think you’re trying to mislead and move the goalposts. As you tend to do.
And if we are limited to modern age why are we discussing the act at all? It was created in the 1800s

What's the left going to do? Send the Marines to low crime areas and force the population to commit violent crime?

Large military presence?
What does that mean?
What does that mean?

It was vague enough to where I could claim victory over a broad range of time. Sometimes a little bullshite can be pretty effective.

I would prefer for the ultimate shift towards a Christian ruled America to be done by peaceful means and not at the business end of a gun.
I voted for Trump knowing he is not a Godly man, but he is the SOB we need to break the back of the corrupt deep state autocracy we have lived under for years.
I hope the bloodshed is minimal, but I am not hopeful.

Jbird, tell us more about your kinder, gentler vision of military occupation of major U.S. cities.

Occupation like your war scenario?

“ALL things happen for the good of them that love God”, BD. Eternity and ‘Heaven’ will be sufficient to wipe clean any remembrance of the pain it required to get us there.

Only extremist imaginations foresee anything that reasonable and rational people would deem “occupation.” Have you or any of the others similarly situated bothered or thought to research/consider past situations of similar federal intervention, and the circumstances surrounding them? To perhaps determine whether it’s the extraordinary and unprecedented scenario that you all seem to think it would be (hypothetically speaking)?

Naw Bunk is still too busy trying to circumvent the checkpoints to get into the occupied territories.

I think we should use the military to permanently police U.S. cities/citizens. Seems healthy. Dems would be benevolent with that power.

Well those checkpoints weren't cheap!

Whats the issue with keep the cities safe?
What could.Dems do with that power?
Do you hear yourself lately. You are fighting for crime
