Doesn't matter. Same laws apply.

Well for once I’ll support a judge shooting down this particular policy. Sending Marines to police common thug crime in Chicago is definitely not what I voted for.
I was fine with the troops in DC because that’s federal jurisdiction. And it’d be one thing if they were there to enforce federal immigration laws that sanctuary cities refuse to but not this. It’s about the most un-American thing I can think of.

Good luck. The supreme Court already told him he could.

quote:Just my opinion but there should be (and rightly so) a high bar to invoke this. The L.A. riots and the ‘summer of love’ definitely met that standard. Those that feel differently about the current situation though are purposely being maligned as not caring about law and order. There is a slippery slope here, and I can only speak for myself but it has nothing to do with who is President.
It was also done during the LA riots and the insurrection act was invoked.

Look up what is required to invoke the insurrection act. One of the provisions is if there is an ongoing conspiracy to subvert the rule of law. Now consider all of these rogue judges doing everything in their power to subvert federal law enforcement. They are stymying his ability to enforce federal immigration law, security clearances, etc etc etc.
I've been saying he has needed to do it for awhile now. And he's been threatening to do it for months.

So will the Marine’s mission be to enforce immigration law?
Posted on 12/25/25 at 10:58 am to CapnKangaroo
Yes actually. The pretense for sending them there is to protect ICE agents.
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:02 am to AlterEd
If all they do is help ICE enforce immigration law then I’m fine with it.
But they shouldn’t be patrolling the streets to fight regular crime.

Time will tell what happens. I want them to round up the bad actors within the government personally. I want to see this go nationwide and see them take all the shitbags down.

What bad actors?
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:17 am to CapnKangaroo
Anyone and everyone who is corrupt.
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:18 am to AlterEd
We already have both local and federal law enforcement for that kind of thing
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:20 am to CapnKangaroo
Which is also ran by corrupt shitbags.
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:20 am to AlterEd
So the Marines are going to investigate corruption and arrest bad actors in the government now?
Posted on 12/25/25 at 11:21 am to CapnKangaroo
I don't know. I just said I wish they would.

Ha! There it is.
The corrupt bad actors in gubmint must fulfill their roles and complete their DS missions of gross negligence and malfeasance in every blue city / state. Otherwise how else would future routine military occupations across America slowly be justified and accepted by the Pod-People?

quote:I have. I just disagree. Leftist judges will definitely always try to subvert the rule of law. They will rule against whatever he proposes. I don’t know if this constitutes a conspiracy though. There are avenues to deal with rogue judges that will never be used because of gutless elected thieves. These same officials could deal with the problems in their own states and districts that he seeks to address.

With that said, while there is a battle between two branches because the third is impotent, the invocation of this act for this reason sets a precedent that is hard to walk back. A unilateral decision of this magnitude needs a higher bar in my opinion.
If this is only about immigration issues, that to me is a whole different animal.

Yeah, but we are dealing with an ongoing conspiracy that goes back to the very day he announced his candidacy in 2015. It's obvious to see. There is indeed a seditious conspiracy ongoing and the only avenue to defeat it is with the military. Jmo.

You guys really think federalizing/nationalizing police is the way to go?
By your DV / UP tally, the vast majority think it's peachy-keen.
Of course cheering on the US Calvalry is a logical reaction to witnessing the constant but designed unraveling of civil law & order in Dem cities and standing-down of enforcement in the face of chaos for many years now.
What they aren't seeing -- the same ol' create-the-PROBLEM ---> REACTION ---> SOLUTION game played by our overlord class. We fall for it every time. The "SOLUTION" in this case for "our team" is to normalize a Police State and if necessary, Martial Law.
